Nan, hope it stopped snowing and you were able to get DS home safely.

Gearing up for the next storm! We are expecting 8 to 12 inches overnight tonight. Hope everyone stays safe!

Today:
bake and frost cake for niece's birthday
store to pick up gift
make meatballs and sauce
dinner spaghetti and meatballs

Tomorrow:
snow clean up
menu, list, grocery shop

Cassey --- I drove DS17 to and from work... the roads were horrible.. and I was driving for the road conditions and I had idiots everywhere.. one guy riding my butt... DH and I went back out and drove DS17's car home when he finally got home last night.. his 1 hour drive took 2.5 hours...

I tweaked my back this morning shoveling the snow... DS13 measured 6" from yesterday... (he measured off the back porch which was completely cleared off)... now they are saying we can get 2" tonight... I really wish this would go away!!!

I hope you all stay safe and warm on the east coast looks like this one is going to be pretty nasty with the winds in addition to the snow this round.

Nan and Cassey - I don't blame you for being over the snow already - this has been one of the snowiest winters I can recall in about 30 years, it's crazy! You gals stay safe!

Had a lazy morning here...ran a couple of errands this morning and then scrapped a few pages. Gonna chill and read here in a bit. Love these kinda weekends

Tomorrow it will be laundry and pack for Girls Weekend! My BFF of 28 years (we met in the Navy) is flying to Orlando on Thursday and running the WDW Princess Half Marathon next Sunday. I'm driving up to meet her, I'm the cheer squad . Haven't seen her in a year so it will be good to visit and catch up.

It's snowing again... I'm so over winter at this point.

We were supposed to be on a sleigh ride, but the roads are horrible and the farm is about an hour away. I don't think they'll let me reschedule, because they require a 48 hour notice and the forecast on Thursday was that the storm would be overnight tonight, not during the day. Ah well, safety first.

We got about 8-9 inches of heavy, wet snow overnight. DH and DS are about to begin the clean-up. Grocery run is going to wait until this afternoon.

Jennifer, sorry about the sleigh ride, but I agree safety first. The roads looked bad last night and with so many towns running low on salt I wouldn't have chanced it.

Happy weekend!!

Well, we got snow, but not snowman making kind (doesn't pack together and stay, more like ice crystals!), so still no snowman. We had close to 10 inches Thursday night, so 2 hour school delay was nice since I got to snow low out driveway at 7am vs. 5 am!! Yay, me! Spent Friday pulling snow off roofline edge, shoveling out 3 porches, 2 snowblower runs and scrapped down the driveway ice......yesterday I tried to take it easy, since I was a little (ha, read A LOT!!) sore, but I am in the packing/cleaning/trip prep mode. DS had a science presentation to attend early and I got library items returned that were due before our return and some clothes out, but much more to do today!! I would be going already, but the finicky DisBoards app decided to work today! Always when I don't really have the time, so I am wasting the time I need being lazy.....just the way my luck rolls.

PN96, I read "twerking" instead of "tweaking" and just about fell off the couch laughing at what I pictured you doing in the snow!!! I figured you must be much more interesting than I am.... Hope your back is feeling better, thanks for the laugh with your wording/my reading!

dsneprincess -- OMG!!! So funny.... I read that to my husband and he cracked up!

We got another 2" last night. We are now the snowiest winter season (Dec - Feb) on record here....

Looks like another round of something is due in tomorrow.... one model shows snow.... one model shows a mix.. I'd like to see a model that was solely SUNSHINE! Then there is another something coming in Thursday and they are just saying "we are monitoring this, it could be a mess".... oh joy!

Today,
We are going to clean, clean, clean
then we may run to town for the kids some new shoes --- DS17 needs new dress shoes for an upcoming competition and then of course graduation... DS13 just needs new tennis shoes he is so hard on his shoes...

I'm glad we are off school tomorrow for the holiday with whatever this is that is coming in tomorrow..at least it isn't a missed day we have to make up.

I hope everyone on the east coast stays safe and warm... any clean up do it a little out of time don't get hurt doing it...
