The week of Thanksgiving--crowds?

What are the crowds like the week of Thanksgiving--the entire week (From Sunday before thur Thanksgiving day) Trying to make a decision -=--first week in Nov or Thanksgiving week??

according to all of the wdw books i have-thanksgiving week is listed in the category of highest attendance at the parks.

i would vote for the first week in november-small crowds (post mickey halloween activities), shorter lines-and if you will be staying in a hotel:much better rates and availability. we are going the second week in november so that the veteran's day holiday will lessen the number of school days the kids miss and the number of vacation days my hubbs has to take

my FAVORITE ALL TIME month of the year to disney (for us so far it's only been Disney Land Ca. cuz we live in Ca.) is early december:all the holiday decorations are up, holiday parades, small crowds, good travel deals (and i can get some christmas shopping in to boot!) so far our wdw experiences have been in october and january. january is by far the best for us-orlando in january is northern california in early june: warm, lo/no humidity, and cool breezes at night. but then the kids miss out on the water parks so-november it is for us this year.

I asked this questions a month or so ago, and was told the crowds are fine until Thanksgiving day. So we are arriving on Friday before and checking out Thanksgiving day.

We did this week a few years back.

The parks got busier the closer you got to Thanksgiving. I think we arrived Friday night and left the next Friday. We did not go to the parks on Thanksgiving. Instead we hung out at the pool (SAB) and had an early dinner. Then we did DD and the BW. We were able to do Osbourne lights on Wed. night which was cool and we got to see a lot of resorts decorated for xmas. We tried to do the MK early in the week.

Thanksgiving weekend is HORRIBLE! But not sure about the week before.
