The week before christmas crowds....

We had to our first trip to a Disney park last February in California and needless to say the parks were wonderfully empty.
My sister on the east coast of Canada is trying to talk me into spending Christmas in Florida. The week before and after Christmas.We would be staying off site in a private residence.
My question is...what are the crowds like the week before Christmas. Can anyone who was there this year give me any info on crowds and wait times. I probably would not go to the park after the 24th.

I for one would avoid that time period. We were down to WDW the first week of December and the old days of reduced guests were gone. Weekends are the worst, no more December days for us. It seems with the free dining offers, guest levels have risen, I've read these boards of xmas crowds and it wouldn't be the time for us to visit....everyone has the same idea, week before or after and park closesure.....weather is another factor...our trip was down right cold, hard to enjoy the amenities of the resort with temps in the40 and 50's. Each person's perspective varies, others enjoy the crowds and time period but we'll shy away from Xmas and go back to the halloween October month.
