I have three small kids (8, 6 and 4) and found an ADR for the wave. The good sounds good, but is it kid friendly? We typically steer towards character meals to keep the kids entertained, but it would be nice to mix it up and have a good meal.

There's nothing to keep the kids entertained per se except crayons/coloring pages, but the food is excellent! It's a must do for our family (breakfast).

It isn't geared towards children, but would be a comparable atmosphere to most decent restaurants you'd go to when not at Disney and at home. With that being said, we had a good dinner experience there last November. Food was delicious, service was good, prices were not on the high side compared to other Disney table service restaurants. Seemed to me like somewhat of a hidden gem. I would definitely go back again, and I hear they also have a very good breakfast. Go for it!

Agreed with the others, there is nothing specifically entertaining for kids, but the food was very good. If you are doing dinner, maybe try for a reservation right at opening (5 pm), so you will get seated right away and not have restless small humans prior to even getting a table. :yay:

The reservation I found is close to 5, good to know that is opening. If the food is good enough it can be worth dealing with the tiny humans. Lol! :joker:

The Wave is my whole family's favorite restaurant. Food is so good, and the service is always great (we do lunch and dinner, haven't tried breakfast). If your kids get fidgety, you can always take them out to the restroom area (which is outside of the restaurant) and let them stroll around for a few minutes while you wait for your food. The waiting area also has cool neon lighting that feels kind of space-ageish. The Wave has a more grown up vibe, but my very active children are always too worn out to fight it. Plus they know that the kid's meal comes with a make-your-own-sundae. It has magical powers to tame my beasts.

You will be fine! We had dinner there last year with our then almost 3yr old. It was pretty quiet and not a lot of other people so didn't feel like we were bothering anyone. Service was pretty quick and good. Food was great, one of the better steaks I have had!! I was pleasantly surprised!! We also had lunch there and again no problems! Enjoy :)
