I like the concept, and the menu seems great. Just wondering what others' experiences have been with their kids having fun here? Thanks for any thoughts!

I don't know if I would call The Wave "fun", but our whole family found it very relaxed and enjoyable. My DS, who was 3 when we went, loved the blue lounge, the food was very good and we had a blast walking over to the CR marina, watching cartoons in the lobby and then walking over to MK after dinner. I would definitely recommend it for all ages.

Thank you! :goodvibes

We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet there last week...all you can eat, including beverages. The food was good, good variety and it was relaxing ...a nice alternative to the hectic pace of Chef Mickey's.

Our bill for 2 adults and 2 children (after the TIW discount) was $60 and this included the 18% tip.

Not sure what you mean by "having fun" but there is no theming to speak of, it's just a modern restaurant. No characters and no games for children. It's a pretty good restaurant but it's just a restaurant.

Thanks for the responses. Anyone know if there's a bar area that you can go to for just drinks, not food?
Thanks!

Yes there is a bar area and The Wave is one the best restaurants on Disney property.

There is a large lounge—one of the prettiest lounges on property, in fact. You can order just drinks there, but they also serve the restaurant's full menu.

I've eaten there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and had great meals both times. I look for healthy options and The Wave had plenty of them. For dinner I had the fish of the day which was a seared tuna steak and for lunch I had a bison burger. Both were excellent.

The Wave is definitely in my top 3 restaurants at WDW! Great for all ages. The kids will probably love the blue lounge, a waiting area/lounge with everything lit up in neon blue lights! :cloud9:
