I am trying to find information on The Wave. I know it is only about a year or so old and replaced the Concourse Steakhouse but cannot find much info. Since there are so few reviews it seems to be a 50/50 split between it is amazing and it is awful.

Just wanted some opinions/information the the restaurant. Thank!

We just ate their last week so I will give you my run down!

It is located on the bottom floor, next to the reception desk. It has a very "mod" feel to it, but I liked it. It is not too noisy and not too quiet. Our food was delicious. I had the flank steak and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the pot pie and although he liked it, it wasn't his favorite meal of the week. My daughter had the filet and ofcourse I had a bite and it was DELICIOUS!!! My other daughter is 9 and she had a salad and speg. She loved it. They bring very good bread to the table (a variety of breads) with butter with hawaiian salt on it and it was great.
Of our meals of the week I thought it was more inventive and gourmet than some of the other places we ate.
I would defintely go again., but this is just mho!!!

Besides the entrance, I thought the decor was pretty plain and generic. The food was good. A little more upscale than a places we ate. I think they are trying to be a little more gourmet and the food (and portions) reflected that. We ate there last Sept - I specifically remember the desserts as being pretty good. I rather like traditional (non gourmet) style food so for me it was just ok but I would recommend it.

Click on my March link for a dinner review, we loved it!

I ate at The Wave for the first time last month and loved it. It is now just behind Boma as my favorite WDW restaurant. I liked the decor but it is not overly themed. The menu was diverse and there are a lot of healthy options if that interests you.

The dessert presentation is a bit strange and I don't really eat dessert so I can't comment on them other than to say they are ordered in groups of 3. Kevin's review, which was posted earlier in the thread, goes into a little further detail.

Had my birthday dinner there a couple of weeks ago. It was doggone good, and I can echo the other thumbs-up from previous posters.

I think it has a 2 TS feel and quality for a 1 TS spot, if you're on the dining plan. It's pretty chic.

Do we think that during the free dining at the end of August it will be difficult to do a walk-up here? I've noticed that usually, even during free dining, Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe are safe havens where you rarely need a reservation.

I have liked the Wave the 3 times I have eaten there. Especially breakfast (which I rarely eat). I'd like breakfast again since they've removed the high surcharge on chicken sausage.

I was there towards the end of March and really enjoyed it as did my friends who went with me. The service was good (although our server was a little slow at the end) and the food great. I thought the decor and atmosphere was nice and fit the idea of "the wave" with logos on the glasses, swirly designs on the chairs, etc.

We ate there and enjoyed it. We had a REALLY great server which made an impression. Food was one of the better meals we had (we ate at Cindy's table and Crystal Palace and 1900 among others). It reminded me of a nicer hotel restaurant with a nice/funky atmosphere.

Just wanted to say I had lunch there the other day. It was pretty fantastic, perfect lunch on a hot day. I had the ahi tuna salad and was very pleased with the portion size on the tuna.

Can you eat at the bar? Is there plenty of seating there?
We will be there in Sept amd want to walk on in, sit and maybe split a meal with our martinis. :woohoo:

Last year during free dining my family and I just wanted to have a quick look inside and the host asked if we wanted a table? Now we didn't end up eating there however I guess if we said yes we would have been seated right away.
