The Wave or Trails End for breakfast?

I currently have The Wave booked for our 1st MK day. It's an 8:30am ADR for a 9am opening. We really don't care too much about being at MK for rope drop since we'll be at the park until 1am for Night of Joy that night.

I've had the Wave booked since our 180 booking period but now that our trip is less than 80 days away, i'm starting to second guess all of my ADRs :sad2: We are on the DDP (thanks to free dining!) but we will be paying OOP for this breakfast since it's cheaper than most TS restaurants plus I receive a 10% discount due to my Disney Visa.

I also have to eat gluten and nut free if that matters.

Thanks :)

The Wave has an option of ordering off a menu or ordering a buffet depending on what you want to do and you can decide when you arrive. Their sweet potato pancakes are amazing but I have no idea if they are glutten free. The Wave offers a number of healthy choices both on and off the buffet. Trails end will have more common breakfast items and offer buffet only. I personally would choose The Wave but that is a personal preference.

I have heard the Wave has some healthy options so that may have won me over ;) I have to eat some healthy solid food to make up for the ice cream and Dole whips I plan to splurge on :thumbsup2

Both are great. I prefer The Wave, though, because it is easier to get too and the food selection is always fantastic.

I am trying dinner there for the first time in November for a MVMCP night dinner. Excited!

My wife an I think the Wave has the best breakfast buffet. Plus it is a nice easy stroll to to Magic Kingdom afterwards.

My daughter and I had the Wave breakfast buffet a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was EXCELLENT as far as buffets go. Great variety with eggs benedict, fruits, meats, waffles, pastries, etc., and the breakfast potatoes were amazing. This is a must do for our next trip. Nice atmosphere also.

I've only eaten at Trails End, but I would not return there. Nothing against the food, just bad memories. Please it looks like Wave has healthier options on the buffet.

I am not a big fan of buffets, but the Wave was a very decent option for us. We did a split stay last week with our first 5 days at the VGF and our last two at the BLT; on our arrival day at BLT we did the breakfast buffet before heading to the park and liked it enough that we walked up and did it early on our departure day before DME picked us up. A very pleasant surprise indeed for us.
