John

Thanks for the info, John! I noticed those earlier and the menu didn't excite me very much!

Im not likeing that menu either. It seems it doesnt really go together or something. I will have to wait for the review.

The menu didn't do much for me either. Lunch looks a little better than dinner. I wouldn't mind trying the chicken salad, but nothing I'd go out of my way for.

And what is this?

Grilled Pork Tenderloin - Made with pineapple rice, wilted greens, and black bean sauce. - $21.99

I know it's Africa out there now and everything, but I'd still like my greens fresh, not wilted! :lmao:

Thanks for the update - I booked a dinner there for my Sept trip, but it doesn't look so great, I may be changing to Yacht club cafe.

Kevin ?????

They replaced my beloved Concource with this....:worried: I just new by the name is going to be that newvo/california crap.

The kiddo's are going to be lining up for this::confused:
Grilled Fish of the Day - Served with whole-grain pilaf, veggies, and yogurt parfait. Includes choice of 1% milk, bottled water or juice. Soft drinks available upon request. - $7.59

Though judging by their extensive DRINK menu, I think they figure if you're drunk, you won't care what you eat.;)

Didn't think much of that i must say!

Im getting really annoyed at these Kids menus too! Yes lets get kids to eat healthy, but they are on vacation for goodness sakes! Let them have a treat! If the parents can't say no to a burger, that the parents fault, at least given them a choice!

I'm hoping for a positive dining review as right now the new menu doesn't really thrill me either. We have ADR's there for our visit in August -- but I've got my fingers crossed that we might have some other options if things don't sound too good.

I appreciate the healthy thing, I really, really do, but I agree, you should have a choice. I think it's great they can offer wheat buns or whole grain bread or whatever, but why does it have to be the only option? I mean, seriously, if you are getting a hotdog at Casey's is the healthy bun really going to do anything offset the hotdog?

Did anyone else notice that the kids menu has "The Wave Kid's Picks - Choice of 1 appetizer". It only has one choise "Appetizers: Garden Salad."!
Kinda makes it wasy for them.

When I was younger there was a restaurant called "The Good Earth". It was a health food type restaurant, and my Mom made me go there for her birthday (I was around 9 years old).

So nothing looked good as a kid, so I got the pancakes. Now what do you think I got?

I got wholewheat pancakes with the wheat husks still in the batter. They were crunchy and chewy. Yuck! :scared1: I was expecting Denny's or Perkins pancakes.

I still talk about how bad this place was. My Mom got a chicken sandwich that had about a credit card sized piece of chicken breast and about 2 lbs. of avocado. The fact that I remember this experience even today (I am 36) should tell you something. :lmao:

Healthy is good, but don't overdo it.

I am really looking forward to this review. It could go down as one of Kevin's famous reviews where he blasts them. (I love those). :thumbsup2

The lunch menu looks okay.

The dinner menu has an autumn/wintry feel to it.

The PP who mentioned wholewheat pancakes, oatmeal pancakes are yummy and healthy. No husks or twigs.....

Sometimes I feel that Disney is a couple of steps behind on the culinary front. I don't know much about other things, but I do know my food and booze. The drink menu does look appealing.

When I was growing up, and even now, oatmeal was my favorite breakfast food. I ate it everyday (it's probably why my cholesterol is like 150). Anyway, these pancakes had the shell of the wheat kernel in them. It's hard to describe, but this made them chewy.

I guess I must not know anything about food because I couldn't find a thing on the menu I'd order to eat. The drinks, however, did look really good :drinking1
