The Walking Dead on AMC

Anyone else a little worried about Daryl this week since Norman Reedus is going to be on Talking Dead? If it were any other show I'd say they couldn't kill off such a popular and pivotal character, but with this show I'm not sure anyone is safe...

No not at all, as a matter of fact when they showed a panel of 3, I said, well we can be sure no one dies this week. They only have "surprise" cast members on after they day, they don't announce them first.

Not worried about Daryl AT ALL. I highly doubt they will kill him, he is waaaaay too popular, many people watch specifically because of him. I really think he is safe. I could be wrong, but I don't think the writers will go there. Maybe at the end of the series, but not yet.

Many of the actors have been on TD and not been killed off. Beth has been on, Daryl has been on TD before, Michonne was on last week, Glen has been on, Maggie has been on a couple of times.

Usually when they kill someone off and they will be appearing on Talking Dead they say something like, "A special walking dead cast member will be on TD next week." They don't announce who it is.

Also agree Mindy was awful on TD. She was just so bland and kind of blunt. The TD is best when a funny person is on since Chris Hardwick has such a funny sense of humor. The best guests are the ones who are really into the show and who can joke around with Chris.

All I have to say is that in a real apocalypse, no woman would wear shorts like Rosita was wearing b/c they would all have hairy legs!

I do think Daryl and Beth may have headed a different direction down the tracks though. It looked like Tyrese and Carol turned around and headed away from the guy who had just been bitten and the walker pile, and that Daryl and Beth walked past them, or at least Daryl did before Beth started crying. I am not sure if they showed them again after she was crying.

I'll have to rewatch the episode. Looks like the next episode will be a Beth/Daryl episode and how they survive, but maybe they'll come across one of the other groups at some point.
Them hiding in the trunk while the walkers walk by looks creepy. Though I wouldn't mind being stuck in a trunk with Daryl

THANK YOU!! Seriously, when that group appeared I felt she looked ridiculous! And that "doctor" is a terrible actor. I mean, how long can you fake not knowing how to shoot a gun in a zombie apocalypse?!

This was the most stressful since Andrea and the gov played cat and mouse, oh my goodness!! I kept realizing I was holding my breath.

I totally agree, I was on the edge of my seat and though it was one of the best acted episodes that Rick has ever done.

See that's what I thought too but DS who has read all the books said nope he can't see that happening as these are the ones in the book who die and in what order, so here's hoping this isn't another time where they totally shock us and that DS is right!

I would be traumatized if it was Daryl!!

Everyone is running around looking real gross and they throw in eye candy, I was like what the heck.

LOL! It was "tongue in cheek" .....I was totally kidding, hence the little smilie laughing at the end

Thought it was ridiculous to throw in some young curvy young woman with short shorts and shirt knotted above the belly button during a zombie apocalypse and must say, I LOVED (ok this is sarcasm again ) how she sauntered off after Glen with her hips swaying looking oh so stylish and in no real panic after a bunch of walkers just came out of the corn

I'm going to have to steer clear of this thread once it airs, until Monday evening. Darn Oscars and all. DD and I love our Walking Dead, but seeing is that she is going to school next year for film production, we will be watching the Oscars. Thank goodness for DVR!!

Killing off Daryl would be TV show suicide. So many people are crazy obsessed with his character and I'm sure the writers know this. If they kill him then they'd better be prepared to end the series because so many people would probably stop watching.

So right now I'm not worried about Daryl.

Agreed, I don't think they will kill off Daryl, I did see that Beth is going to be on TTD this week too so......I hope she doesn't bite it.

Daryl isn't in the comic series.

And in the comics Andrea is still alive. So you can't go by the comics and judge who is safe - they do different things in the TV series.
