The Walking Dead on AMC

i'm thinking he rejects the baby as well. He can't really be a doting daddy given the situation they are in.

I didn't really like Lori's character, but I don't like what her death will do to the group. I think Rick will go into a downward spiral, as well as Carl. I also think it will just be a huge somber feeling. Now there are only a few women, Herschels daughters and carol (provided she is alive.) I wonder when the will meet up with Andrea and Michonne.

Except somehow Carl, a child, survived a shotgun bullet to the chest and the old man survived a traumatic amputation of his leg after being bit by a walker :lmao: I didn't even see anyone put a tourniquet on his leg!!

yeah this was my thought too but it seemed like as soon as she cut Lori was gone:confused3.

Did anyone watch the preview for next week? Near the end, it looks like someone gets bitten. It was a very quick clip, but it looked like Milton, the scientist fellow from Woodbury.

and that little black guy (the convict) we all thought was dead in the yard, boy were we wrong!!!

Not all of us... I had that pegged as the Tyrone scene from the comics as soon as Rick shut the door.

interesting point... this could make for some ethical questions between father and son.

but I admit I have less interest in this now that I know it is basedon the comics. how far ahead of the series IS the comic series?

The comic is quite a bit ahead but the storylines are not even close to identical.

I agree about the interaction between Rick & Carl... Carl is "manning up" at the same time that Rick is getting cruel and less businesslike about survival and it is going to cause conflict. And I think that's going to come up starting next week because I don't think Rick is going to embrace the baby at all - I think Maggie, Glenn, and Carl will be the ones really fighting for that baby's survival.

WOW!!! What an episode!! I had NO idea Lori was going to die. I hope Carol is still alive, I think she is. I liked T-Dog, but he didn't feel like a main character, I wish they had given him more screen time.

I think Carol is alive. We didn't see her die, and she's going to be important to Daryl's storyline once Merle reappears.

I'm glad they didn't keep Lori's death the same as it was in the comic. That would have been really hard to watch. But I kind of figured they were going to kill her off in childbirth after the whole c-section conversation came up. It is kind of a rule of dramatic television - no one ever has healthy, uneventful births on TV.

How did she die in the comics? Or is it too much to post here:rolleyes1

I think though she was already hemorrhaging, thus the reason for the c-section. Between the two I think she bled out fast.
I don't think Carl shot her either, but wanted it to seem that way. :confused3

Oh my, Lori coming back as a walker:scared1: I think that would push the group over an emotional edge!!!

I'm going to miss T-dog. I am glad Lori is gone and really shocked they had Carl kill her off. Imagine the mental fall out from that on a pre teen not to mention dealing with a zombie appocalypse.

I can not believe Lori knew she most likely could not deliver normally and still didn't take that morning after pill. I would think anyone in their right mind would take the pill knowing not only that they most likely would not survive to raise that child but also what type of world it would be born into. Not to mention the fact that every single time that child cries it will be siren for the walkers and a danger to everyone in the group. I hope they can find lots of formula and diapers somewhere.

Yes, DD freeze-framed it and it did look like him. I wonder if Penny is chewing on his arm.

I really wanted Lori to get eaten by a walker. Why couldn't that woman keep track of her own child?

I'm going to do this in white in case some folks don't want to see it because there is some spoiler potential...

The group was fleeing the prison to escape the Governor and his people, and she was running with the baby in her arms. One shot from one of the Woodbury crew took them both out - right though her and into the baby, killing them both.

No kidding. I could understand her decision given the information they'd shared at the time - after all, women have been having babies since the beginning of time, most of them in less than modern conditions, and the drive to continue the species is powerful. But that was working under the assumption that she'd delivered naturally; choosing to have a child in a world without medical care is one thing, but doing so knowing you're likely to need a surgical delivery is an entirely different matter.

Under normal circumstances, it makes sense for a mother to give her life for her child, but a Zombie apocalypse is a totally diff situation. She should have let her child go so she could stay and protect Carl. Who am I kidding?! Lori said "where's Carl?" more than the cast screams "watch out, WALKERS,"

I rewatched tonight and I can see that now. I think I was covering my eyes to much the first time:rotfl:

I don't think Carl shot her. What if Carol found her still alive and saved her. In the teaser it looks like Glen told rick that the body wasn't there, Rick probably thinks she turned to a walker. But what if Carol saved her, she was practicing with walkers.

T dog was my favorite, he was so cool and nice, first Dale then T Dog :( :(

The baby is going to need formula and diapers. Yikes

I hope so. I admit that I am in denial that Lori died. For some reason she didn't bother me like she did others. So, I'm gonna spend my week picturing Carol nursing her back to health!;)

thanks Colleen!

Hate having to do this cause going to upset peoples wish that Lori is still alive but read at interview they did with the actress and that was her last episode they had a death dinner for her too. I don't trust the rule of if they dont die on screen they aren't dead cause there is one everyone forgets.....what about Sophia she was dead and never shown how or anything.

I do love how they change things from the comics gives me something new every time but I do LOVE what they have done with Carl and making him adapt to that world its not going to be easy on him but I also hope they have a scene similar to one from the comics where Rick, Carl and a new survivor have a conversation about all the horrible things they have had to do it was a strong part of the comics to me.
