I was kind of upset when they changed out the songs.

Still don't like Dwight. Still think he is weak. What type of man would allow his wife to "divorce" him and sleep with another man to save his own hide? Than to top it off, have that man rub it in his face? If he is going to redeem himself, he has a loooooong way to go to convince me. He is an opportunistic person, who will beat down on those weaker than him, take what he wants from them and shot them in the back and hang them on the fence. I don't see much remorse in him, nor shame.

Negan is a big bully and they are all scared of him, so they bow to him and do what ever he wants without question. They are convinced that it can't get any better then what he is giving them. Dwight, his wife and her sister should have kept running. Going back was the worst mistake they could have ever made.

I wondered why they went back to Negan too, why didn't they keep running? Did they get caught? I thought they went back voluntarily.

As far as Dwight, I think he is doing what he can to survive. I think he is waiting, and watching for the right moment to take Negan down. A man like Negan thrives on his ego and right now all they can do is bow down to him. Literally. All Dwight can do at this point is let Negan think he is in charge and that he (Dwight) is falling in line with him. You could see the anger simmering in Dwight. I think he is formulating a plan.

They probably went back because Negan is/was everywhere and they were afraid getting caught...where the punishment would be worse.

Agreed. The 39 thing at the beginning was confusing - we see Dwight watching a guy get beat, he writes down 39, goes to what looks like someone's bunk area labeled #39, steals their food, and then starts eating it. I didn't really understand that sequence of events and the significance.

The beat him for defying them. Dwight then went and took what he wanted from their are while his family watched. It is to show the heirarchy in the Saviors.

And when Negan was "offering" Dwight a woman, that explains why he said "No." He wants to be with his wife.. I just thought it was odd the way Sherri jumped off the Dr.'s chair and was so nonchalant when Dwight looked at the test. She was just so normal saying, "It's negative." Like she was talking about the weather. I would think she would be crying and desperate clinging to Dwight, being forced to "be" with Negan etc. But she was just like, "meh, it is what it is." so I guess she is sleeping with Negan. She is just soooooooo okay with it I guess.

I also didn't get the 39 thing. There was a young couple standing over Dwight as he ransacked their bunk. I thought it was their bunk?

If she even touches Dwight they both die. They have to look like they are happy to go along. Remember his face is that way because Negan "ironed" him. Negan has lots of ways to torture and keep people submissive. He is a psychopath so doesn't hesitate. Dwight & Sherri are just trying to survive.

You can see the cracks in Dwight but he is still fearful for both him & Sherri so go along to survive. Negan is soooo much more than a bully, he is a human torture machine. Just wait, already saw Lucille, saw the spiked people & heard about the "iron" - betting much more to come. I don't think they are thinking that, betting they think don't want to be spiked or Lucilled.

Yup, remember he has outposts everywhere. He has been monitoring Alexandria just waiting to herd them into the circle and Lucille a couple. Dwight knows full
well how bad he is.

I don't read the comics so I don't know if this has been addressed in there, but does anyone wonder what Negan did before the Zombie Apocalypse? My guess is that he worked the customer service desk at Walmart, LOL.

Daryl can definitely hear it as it blasts over and over non-stop....so, yes it is torture/sleep deprivation to get Daryl to conform to what Negan wants

It is a well known torture method. The US used it to get Gen Noreiga to surrender years ago. They piped loud rock 24/7 til he couldn't take it.
