The walking dead amc #2

I don't know... I do think that Gareth and Bob knew each other "before." We know Bob had been a member of more than one group and that one way or another, something didn't work out there. There was something TOO familiar about the way Gareth spoke to Bob.

I also think that Bob was bitten and he was going to go away to die. It broke my heart when he was crying... and then that happened. Ugh, I didn't like this episode.

I do wish I knew why Carol was running away.

If Bob knew Garrett from before, why would he lead them to Terminus? Why wouldn't he lead them away from danger? He obviously isn't on their side considering that he ended up over the trough and as BobBQue, so it would be in his best interest to avoid Garrett, not run toward him.

Why would it matter if Bob was bitten? (I think he was too) Aren't they all already infected? And that's why they turn when they die? None of them take precautions as far as getting Zombie blood and "stuff" all over themselves, and presumably it would get into their mouths or eyes occasionally, so how would eating someone who was bitten be any worse?

I thought getting bit would trigger the infection and they turn. Didn't Hershel get bit on the leg and that's why they had to cut it off?

Oh yes, it does make them turn if they get bit, but what I meant is why would that matter to the cannibals? In the comic I guess it means they will become infected, but in the tv show they are all infected already and constantly in contact with Zombie germs.

Being bitten means you will soon get the fever, die fairly soon, and become a walker (unless someone whacks you in the head).

Yes I know, but what I was wondering is if eating someone who had been bitten would be of any consequence to the cannibal people? In the comic they start spitting out what they'd eaten because it means they will become walkers, but I'm thinking that won't necessarily be the case on the tv show.

So how does Gareth know Bob's name? I don't remember any of the Terminus guys asking our crew their names... unless it was last season and I've blanked it out. :confused3

I think eating tainted meat (aka Bob) would cause them to turn. Shortly after eating it, they will start w/fever, soon after die, & turn. Their days are numbered now (if Bob was truly bit). I believe Kirkman wrote that episode, so I would think he would reference a scene from his comics.

I was under the impression the "then" people became the Terminus cannibals, so Gareth and his BBQer friends and probably the majority of the others died in the fight? That's what I got from Terminus Mary's story to Carol. And she and Gareth and the other man (slab boy) were in the very last "then" scene
Yes the then people were the cannibals, the Then scenes showed what happened to them when the other people came to Terminus and tried to take over.
I should have clarified - I meant the "Then" people being the ones that were holding the Terminus People/The Hunters in the train cars. I'm sure a lot of them got killed off, but I'm guessing that they didn't get 100% of them.

**POTENTIAL SPOILERS**

This is what I thought as well, because that big slicked back pony tail guy sure looked like Negan. But they confirmed on the Walking Dead that the pony tail guy in the "then" scene is the guy that Glenn let out of the shipping container that was crazy. And didn't he then proceed to get eaten by a walker?

Negan is going to play a big role I bet, and wasn't he in the comics once they got to the Alexandria safe zone? (Presumably after they make it to DC, if the show goes the same route).
Ah bummer. It would be awesome if they have the guy end up being Negan (ironic that it would be Glenn that sets him free) - a bit of "Oh, crap! We could've saved ourselves a lot of trouble if only we woulda..."

Negan has been in too much of the story that not having him on the show at some point isn't an option, IMO. Although we will get a watered-down version of him for sure, like we got with The Governor.

Maybe the group will just freak out about eating tainted meat, not that it does too much to them, and when they are freaking out, they let their guard down and in come Rick and crew and finally kill them all!

They were all infected already in the comics too. The cannibals in the comics weren’t around long enough for anyone to find out what would happen if they’d eaten someone who’d just been bitten, but I’m guessing the TV show might explore that a little further...and hopefully Bob winds up having the last laugh on that one. ;)

DH and I thought the water jug scene was a blooper too! I think they left it in because it was kind of cute. The way he threw it at her and said, "you carry this" then she laughed and dropped her head, I don't know, it just seemed like a funny blooper.

I could not believe they thought it was safe to get in that water.

Also, did Gabriels girlfriend look like the girl, Bernadette, from Big Bang Theory? DH and I both noticed that when they showed the close up of the photo.

Oh, and Michonne needs to get her katana back. She looks so unnatural with a gun!!

TD next week is having a "surprise guest." Wonder if someone is going to die. It is not always the case when they have surprise guests, but sometimes it is. Chris Hartwick said something like, "It doesn't mean anything, really." and I couldn't tell if he was being serious or sarcastic. We shall see..........

that's exactly what I said! LOL I thought she looked so much like Bernadette. lol :) And yes, the surprise guest always makes me nervous.....lol

It would make sense if the marks on the trees were somehow connected I suppose.

That was adorable when the baby made that noise, you can tell that was unexpected by the laughter in the background. Good ad-lib on Andrew Lincolns part. Right before that when she was putting food in his mouth, that was so sweet!

I was dying over the cuteness of Judith in this episode, she was so precious.

Did any of you wonder what that folded paper, tucked in the bible was?

One of the gals leafed thru the bible when they all went inside the church after Rick cleared it

I saw that and questioned it, I'm sure it will prove to be important later.

I see what you did there

Chris Hardwick called it a "BobBQ" on TTD, we all groaned....lol

Yes, that guy was eaten by a walker right away, he kept yelling "we're the same" as he was grabbing Glenn, he was the guy who hit Garreth at the end of "Then" scene in the first episode of the season. (I'm terrible with the episode names) I believe he was yelling that because of the way he was treated by the Termites after they managed to get out and turn the tables.

Maybe the group will just freak out about eating tainted meat, not that it does too much to them, and when they are freaking out, they let their guard down and in come Rick and crew and finally kill them all!

That would be great, but I think it would be too easy. lol

I think Fr. G locked everyone out when things went bad, I don't get the idea that he was working with the Termites or that he's in with the people in the car that took Beth. And I think it was a medical cross as well, I think we have another episode before we see Beth, there will probably be a teaser at the end of the next episode but we won't see her just yet. I think next week they will be looking for Bob, Daryl and Carol, as far as they know the 3 of them are together, they don't know that Daryl and Carol went after the Bethnappers. :)
I thought that Bob was bitten as well, who knows, maybe it was a leg bite and the Termites just saved his life by eating his leg.....lol

I'm wondering how they're gonna handle it too. When things went down in the comic, it was kind of a rallying moment which drove The Survivors to go medieval - I don't know if it'll have the same effect on the show.

Exactly. That was where Rick's "They're (screwing) with the wrong people," line originally appeared, since there was no Terminus in the comic. I can't wait to see what they have planned for the show.

Btw - if you watch Season 4 on blu-ray or DVD, the finale now has Rick's original f-word version of that line. At PaleyFest, Scott Gimple explained that the only reason they aired the "screwing" verson of the line was because he didn't want to have the final line of the season bleeped out on the air. The restored, un-bleeped version is quite awesome. :thumbsup2

I commented to my dd on Sunday about how a lot of the guys must have access to razors. Glenn is still clean shaven, and that facial hair of Abrahams is pretty high maintenance LOL.

I wished they'd find scissors and cut Daryl's hair a bit shorter.. I mean holy Hotness back when it was neater just hotness right now! .. LOL

Oh, I like that thought- If Bob was bit in the leg & the hunters just cut that leg off, maybe he will survive like Hershel! As long as Rick's group finds him quick enough. We will have to see...

There has to be some catch with the Bob situation, like he was bit or something. Ice read the comics but this situation is different from the one in the comics.

I don't like the Garrett character. Seems too much like the Governor storyline. I kept saying to my husband "didn't they do this story already?" As we were watching.

To save yourself if you are bit you have to cut off the limb almost immediately (remember they did it to Hershel quickly). If you don't whatever process from the bite that turns you has already spread. Makes me think that wherever he was bit couldn't be cut off without killing him.
