The walking dead amc #2

This was another eye roll worthy scene. Darryl just walks up to the hidden 'Patty' and clears off the brush and, voila, there she is.

::yes:: agreed! This was my only complaint about last night. The last five minutes seemed very disjointed and rushed. Daryl finds "Patty", then finds Sasha and Abraham and all is right in the ZA world. Eyeroll.

Last night should have been a 90 minute episode.

what did Daryl find in the ground? He was brushing away the leaves and stuff and it looked like a plaque or something?

I asked the same question. Seemed like after he brushed it off and read it (I couldn't) he went right to where Patty was.

I didn't get it either. But there did seem to be somewhat of a path if I'm remembering right. He's obviously better tracker than we are!

I swear I thought the walkie talkie at the end was Rick and it was something along the lines of "Don't" or "Stop"...but apparently I heard wrong lol?

Me too. I thought it was Rick saying "Yep" because they said "are you there". LOL

It is easy to misunderstand Rick when his accent gets really awful so maybe it was him. ;)

I got the impression that Daryl saw something on the ground and that helped him to figure out where the truck was hidden. He is a tracker after all.

I always watch TWD with subtitles (too much mumbling and whispering!) and while it did show that the word being said on the walkie talkie was indeed 'help', it did not specify that it was Glenn who said it, as someone supposedly claimed. I guess there's a chance that different tv providers get different companies to caption programs, but really I highly doubt that there would be just one person who would have seen that it said "Glenn: Help" if that was indeed the case.

A minimal complaint in the scheme of things -- but the insulin-dependent girl's hair was just TOO clean and blow-dried.

And I think the plaque that Darryl found said something about the fuel company. Couldn't read it totally.

Hah, I also noticed her hair, not sure what I thought, just that it seemed off. Perhaps they came from a community that has resources, we have seen a few of those so far: the Governor's town... The hospital with Dawn... Alexandria. Perhaps those attackers were a squad sent out from their 'community' to reclaim them. They have to had had access to refrigeration to keep the insulin good prior to Daryl encountering her... otherwise the cooler would be meaningless at this point.

yes it did. A couple of letters from the sign... and then I think Daryl being the amazing tracker and all around cool Zombieworld dude he is... put two and two together... the search for Patty at the facility and the sign... and found the truck.

OMG I thought the SAME thing about her hair! It was so "clean" and neat, like she just had a trim. It was shaped and fluffed and layered etc.

The only characters that REALLY get into how they would look in the apocalypse are Daryl and Rick IMO. They always look messy, greasy, shaggy etc. with long hair. I had read in an article once that they both put stuff in their hair to make it look greasy and they actually roll around in the dirt and mud before filming so they look dirty. Very authentic, they do look dirty and sweaty, like you would expect. Not neatly coiffed and trimmed.

Yep. Hair is an issue. Its been nearly two years in to the ZA... why isn't Carol's hair longer? How did that blonde girl have perfectly cut hair but everybody else looks like a ball of Grease? How are there Even any overweight people?

Also, was it just me, or did the bad guy whose face they never showed last night say something about only wanting girls who are willing? Made me think that maybe they were after the girls as part of a harem.

He said they only want "assets that are willing". I had to rewind and listen to it again. Didn't sound too nice at first!

In the comics this is the group called The Saviors they scare people into "paying" them for protection. One of the forms of "payment" is raping the women. I really hope the show does not go there.

Not reading your spoiler, buy i know who the bad guys are.

So, I went back and watched the end of the show again. lol.
I'm pretty sure the item on the ground near the burnt walker in the motorcycle helmet was a mud flap off a large truck (not a sign like I originally thought). The sound it makes when Darryl brushes it off sounds more like textured rubber than smooth metal. And it did have the same logo from the gas company the group stopped at when looking for Patty.
It still seems a stretch that Darryl would deduce a truck was hidden nearby (when it could have just passed by). BUT, it was a distance off the road, which may have led him to wonder WHY would that type of large truck be driven off road?) and it is only a 60 minute episode, so ... o_O
Of course, whoever drove it off the road and hid it in the brush, also left a dying friend behind, seatbelted in the driver's seat. Maybe they thought it would keep anyone from taking it? lol.

And I really do think that "help" or "don't" on the walkie talkie sounds like Rick. But, I hope I'm wrong and it's Glenn, I need some resolution before the break.

I didn't supposedly claim that, I was just stating what a couple of posters on another forum I frequent had reported. There were maybe 2-3 people who said their closed captioning said "Glenn: Help". Again, I don't know if it's true or not but it was interesting no less.
