Limbo on resale for estoppel information from Disney is like passing a kidney stone painful. Then it is hurry up and waiting to finalize closing documents and then more waiting to getting into DVC system.

Can only think about plans but can not act on anything.

Please some one make it stop!

Dude, I totally feel your pain!!! I am waiting for closing docs on 2 contracts that passed around 10 days apart. It is driving me nuts!!:headache:

I FEEL your pain. Long story about my ROFR, but finally got waived 32 days later. Now, waiting to close. I have to be in Orlando in March and had hoped to make my first ressie for this trip. I've just about given up! It's such a busy time and I am not counting on availability.

Unfortunately, this is the main problem with resale. My family went through a similar ordeal earlier this year. All I can say is hang in there, it will all be over soon, and then you'll be in  !!!

The wait will be worth it!!!

Yes, I'm right here with you 'going crazy'! This ROFR hanging over my head is getting to me.

The best way to handle the wait is distraction!, Last year as we waited for ROFR and then the Docs, we had our little princess, she was born 2 months premature, was in NICU for 3 weeks, we didn't even notice the wait for DVC!! The moral of the story is to get pregnant then purchase DVC through resale. It worked for us!!

Do you have any suggestions that are less hard on my body and less stressful? I already have a toddler at home which should be enough of a distraction!
;)

The wait will be well worth it. Our resale purchase felt like it took forever but it finally went through and next week we'll be taking our 3rd trip down to stay at a DVC resort (OKW). Can't wait! :goodvibes

Thanks for a positive thought. If I wasn't in limbo for my March trip it wouldn't matter so much.

Received our closing docs today!

One step closer to going home....

Yay for you.

Let's see closed early september, made my first ressie already. Just got my Membership cards today!! Another official owner moment ;-)

Hi all,

My resale just closed on 10/1/07 and I was told it will be about ten days until I'm in the system. Should I just call Disney or am I waiting for any membership information to arrive by mail.

For those also waiting I originally contacted TSS on 8/10/07, so this whole ordeal was just under two months and went very smoothly.

Just found out today what estoppel was. Evidently, they wait until they have a bunch and then do them all at one time. Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh! What used to take less than 6 weeks from beginning to end is now taking 2 months! (plus the time to get into the system)

Thanks to the OP! I am in the same position just now so hearing that you have got your closing documnents has given me hope. I've been told that it's Disney that's causing the hold-up. And I thought they wanted my money!

Submitted Sept 3rd:MickeyMo
Passed Sept 18th:thanks:
Still waiting to close and make reservations and hear those words........:bored:
