I'm probably being super impatient... well, no 'probably' about it but from what I've read any day now the dates for MHP will be released with tickets going on sale in early May. Every day... confession: many times a day, I'm checking here or on the Disney site hoping to see the dates.

Does anybody remember from last year when they released the dates or should I just continue my obsessive compulsive checking? :earseek:

Oh!! Me too!! We're hoping to go to our first one this year!

Mid May, though they might hold off this year to help market this Summer.

Me too.

Honestly, this is one of my biggest complaints about DL. You would think that there would be an annual calendar of events that could be released in January. I would be shocked if they didn't know the dates considering all the planning that goes into events. There are so many people who have to request their vacation time in advance. If my vacation dates don't line up for the party we will skip DL in the fall and take the kids someplace else. We are only going to experience the park decorated for Halloween and to attend the party. Fingers crossed.

On one hand, I agree with you. They probably know everything that's going to take place during the year, with about 90% certainty. The problem is that, if they release a calendar with that information, and then decide to change something, like e.g. change the party dates to a different day of the week, they'll get a huge flood of complaints from people that booked a vacation based on the "officially released" dates. So they can't afford to release dates until they're 100% certain.

I also have booked for 5 days in late October, and am anxiously awaiting the release of MHP dates to make sure I haven't somehow hit a window where I miss them all during those 5 days. Such is life.
