The Vortex in Poseidon's Adventure is working!

Dunno if this is old news or not - we've been at the parks all week and I haven't had time to check the boards.

But I'd read somewhere that the vortex hadn't been working for a long time. So I just wanted to let you all know that when we did Poseidon's Adventure on Tuesday, the vortex was up and running and looking pretty darn amazing.

EPICNESS! Seriously, when I went in June with my two friends who had never been there before, I was disappointed it wasn't working.

I think it's been running for a few weeks/months now. I'll definitely get to it when I'm there in a few days.

I REFUSED to go on it without the water vortex. I'd rather hold on to my memories.

I would add that it is about the only "special" effect there. Went a couple weeks ago for the first time and was underwhelmed with the whole thing. Well, maybe just whelmed.

The original setup and storyline was much better, then they changed it and made it too cheesy

What can I say? My family and I are easily thrilled. Plus, the cast members doing the skit were hilarious. "The ancient secret message, which just happens to be in English for some reason, reads..."

Aw, I really like this one! I agree that the old story line was better but it is a cheezy good time. It all depends on which Taylor you get...

What theme park show isn't cheesy? :laugh: I love the exterior, interior, the water and fire effects. It's not a must-do for every trip but I've really enjoyed it in the past.

I went for the first time last week and I really loved the show. Yes, it is a little cheesy, but he effects were cool. I didn't know about the water vortex so I am glad it was running, it was a very cool effect!

The vortex was going back in August when I went with some friends. And as for it being replaced, there are rumors the whole LC is going to be Harry Potter-fied within a few years, so go help Taylor find the professor while you can!

I've always enjoyed the water vortex. DD and her husband went on their honeymoon last year, and she was very annoyed that her husband didn't get to see the water vortex. Glad it's back up now.

That said, I can see how it would make more sense to expand WWHP into that area to make more room. If I were in charge, that's what I would do too.

One of my old friends is an actor for that show. I probably wouldn't do it if the vortex wasn't working though!
