I'am booked in a cabin "at the very back of the ship". I've heard there may be more feeling of motion towards the very back. How different could it be from being more centrally located? Thx,

;)

As a former boat owner, this may be true. But, my boat was not over 900 feet long.

If you are really concerned ask Disney if they can accomodate you

These ships are made to flex, so there could be some motion.

When we did the Eastern Last April, it was the only time they had to fire up the 5th engine, on the Magic. The Seas for 6 days were running 20 & 20 ft plus. May never run into these conditions for 100 years.

This did not hamper us in any way. We had a ball. Never made it to our cabin before 1:30AM

Look at it this way ; at the back or stern, you just have to go straight up to deck 9 or 10 for a great buffet breakfast.

I've been in the back of the ship twice, last time was in cabin 7625.

There was one day when the motion was really bad, but it was bad throughout the whole ship. The other times, it wasn't any better or worse than anywhere else on the ship.

Since you're at the end, there is less foot traffic and noise. We could easily go upstairs to the buffet or downstairs to the movie theater, internet cafe, etc. You didn't have to walk the length of the ship to get to a lot of areas.

I was a little apprehensive too, but it was fine and I liked the location.

MY DW and I were near the rear aft section of the boat and had absolutely no problems. We were on deck 5 and would have no problem booking there again.

Ive been on 2 cruises and the motion seems to be more noticeable higher up on the ship. I liked the "back of the ship" as previousy stated, you are 1 evevator away from the buffet. And the front and back elevators are less busy. The main elevators always have a wait, and I found that more than not during busy times our party of 4 almost had to wait for 2 to 3 elevators in the main bank for us all to fit

I have stayed at the VERY Back of the ship, the middle of the ship and in the forward section of the ship. In addition, I am very prone to motion sickness. That said, I really did not feel any more motion in the any of the areas that I stayed in.

We stayed in 6652, I believe. It was the second to the last cabin. The last cabins were handicapped accessible ones. We absolutely loved it back there. We felt no more rocking than the midship cabin we had last year. I'm sure it depends on weather a bit, too. The best part was the fact that it was SO QUIET in the hallways at the end. We enjoyed having access to the stairways up and down to the other decks back there if we needed to quickly just run to another deck. Our veranda was larger than a normal cat 6 one, too because of the shape of the ship there. We'd ask for it again in the future.

My favorite cabin on the whole ship is 5650, which is as far aft on Deck 5 as you can get...it's the PERFECT location! I've never noticed any excessive motion, and the hallway traffic is minimal to non-existent, so it's a peaceful and quiet spot. The only thing you might notice is some noise from the engines (which I find soothing, like white noise), and vibration when docking. I love aft...in my opinion, it's the best spot on the ship.
