Hey everyone I just recently learned that there are awesome trading cards by Upper Deck released in 2003/04...would anyone know anything about these? How many sets are there, where I can find them, etc? They look really cool!!

Sorry I don't have an answer, but I'd like to find out more, as well! I did a quick search on eBay and found a few listings, as well as some boxes available on Amazon. Are there any database websites for it?

My sister and I collect them. In all the series there is a base set of heros and villans then there are various subsets. There are also special cards like film cards which have a peice of film cell in them, patch cards which have the peice of film plus an embroidered patch, quad cards which have 4 peices of film and the much coveted sketch cards which have an authentic sketch by various artists for Disney.

I have a sketch card a full colored Mickey done by Lee the senior toy designer. My sister has 2 sketch cards. One is a small Mickey head, the other is a full sized Donald. The sketch cards alone get about 600-1000. Series one has a single Walt card.

Other than that I have no other real info for ya.

There are several series of these cards produced by Upper Deck. There used to be checklist on the Upper Deck site, but they are hiding from me right now. Another good place that I use for Disney checklist is Jeff Allender's checklist site.

There are 5 series of sets.

Series 1 (2003 - Mickey Mouse Wrapper/Box) cards 1-89 + inserts
Series 2 (2003 - Donald Duck) 90-179 + inserts
Series 3 (2003 - Winnie the Pooh) 180-268 + inserts
Series 4 (2004 - Pixar) DPT1-DPT175 with 161 to 175 being inserts

Minor sets
Holiday Treasures - HT1 to HT50 + inserts
Mickey - 75 Years - Mostly the same as the Filmography cards from Series 1 - MC1-MC75

They aren't too hard to find, but watch out for the prices. There are some boxes that are starting to get pretty expensive. I put together my sets when they came out, so I haven't been buying recently enough to know what a good price is for the boxes or sets. I am working on the harder to find inserts, but if you have any questions about what the actual inserts look like, please just let me know.

I'm mainly loooking for the base sets of the heroes/villains...those look awesome! I found series 1, 2 and 3 on ebay so i may have to buy them!!
