I've ordered everything for my Princess 10K costume. I'm dressing as the Queen of Hearts! I almost went with this costume for Disneyland, so when I thought about options for Princess, this was the top of my list.

Thinking about making Donald/Daisy hats. Has anyone done this before? Recommendations for a hat base to use? I'm seeing quite a few hats with yellow bills/white fronts, but then all of the mesh on the back/sides of the hat is also yellow. Maybe just buy all white hats and apply vinyl to those?

I’d do white as a base and than use vinyl/felt/fabric paint to embellish

I did more digging and that looked to be the case. I just don't want to reinvent the wheel when I probably don't have to

You may recall my Donald/Anger mashup from last year? I had a light up Anger headband, then cut out thin yellow foam into a duck bill shape and hot glued it on underneath the band. Before I found the headband, I toyed with using a yellow visor as a base and adding flames around the top of it. You could easily do that with a hat or hat shape -- it wouldn't have to be three dimensional.

If you don't want the yellow all the way around, you could find a white headband and use foam for the bill like I did with mine.

I'm kind of tempted to just get a big pink bow on a headband for me, and somehow convince DH to wear a sailor hat and skip the character hat idea altogether. Look at me being so decisive.

I've always liked the villains. You can tell the voice actors had a lot of fun voicing them and lots of times they're more interesting than the hero/heroine.
