**The Unexpected Engagement - Day 13**

Tuesday 18th May - Epcot & Wilderness Lodge

We decided we'd have a later morning and had ourselves ready to hit Epcot for 10.30am.

We entered the park and I told them all we were heading over to Soarin' to grab some fast passes. We got them with a return time of 2.45pm. Whilst in The Land, we decided we'd hit the Living with the Land and then headed over to The Seas with Nemo & Friends and did Turtle Talk with Crush (it's still one of my absolute favourites!) before heading back out and over to Club Cool. I had to let them try the Beverly

We got some photopass pictures as the CM wasn't busy...

Afterwards we decided to head up and into World Showcase and begin our walk around the World. We stopped by the Mickey & Minnie topiary whilst it was daylight and decided to get some photos of where we'd got engaged

We decided to head anti-clockwise on our journey and walked into showcase towards Canada. I bought a couple of items from the personalised leather cart and after looking around we headed through to the UK pavilion.

Whilst in there we found the queue for Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, so decided we needed another photo

We headed back outside and decided we'd try the fish and chips for lunch. Whilst they were all queuing I decided I'd get some Flower & Garden Festival shots...

We ate our chips outside the Rose & Crown and then headed off again towards the bridge and over to France.

We arrived just outside France and I found some more topiaries, which were just fantastic!

We continued to stop by each area and have a look around the shops and areas and we caught a few more characters on the way around.

We arrived in Italy and found the most wonderful CM photopass. He took time and took loads of photo's for us and constantly referred to me as a 'Princess', which I just loved!

We got a little further around WS and noticed the time It wasn't long until our FP's for Soarin' and we hurriedly headed back over to Future World to see if we'd be able to ride! We arrived around 10 minutes after our expiry time, but the CM simply let us by, no questions. The stand-by queue was currently reading 75 minutes, so I was glad they'd let us by

After riding and getting my Mum and Dad's thumbs up from the ride, we all decided it was time to head back to the resort and get changed and relax for a while before our ADR at the Wilderness Lodge later that evening. We hit the pool and showered and changed.

Me and my Dad had managed to book this as an extra ADR after we'd visited Mouse Meets just before our holiday. Adam, one of the hosts, had recommended Whispering Canyon and told a little about how it was themed. We took him up on it and I have to say, we loved it! The restaurant was noisy, but I found that added to the atmosphere. We had a wonderful server too.

We'd caught the bus to the Magic Kingdom and decided we'd take the boat across to the WL.

We'd never taken the boat across, so this was a new thing we'd done Once we arrived at WL, we had a quick wander around and I have to say, it's a beautiful resort. We were called into Whispering Canyon and given a table pretty much in the centre of the restaurant. It was brilliant to see the interaction with the kids and how much fun they were having. We ate our dinners and then decided we'd have a treat and have a dessert

Whilst waiting for our desserts, my Mum began to complain of not feeling too good and showed us some blisters what had began to appear around her ankle They were quite bad, so my Dad took her off to the resort shop to see if there was anything to put onto them to try and calm them. Whilst they were away, our server delivered these...

Now, I was freaking! I was thinking 'Lord, my Dad will kill me, I've not planned on champagne and we can't afford it!' Luckily, our server saw my confusion and explained that they were 'our treat' for our engagement and my Mum and Dad's anniversary!! I couldn't believe it!! We were told not to touch them though until my parents returned.

Eventually, my Mum and Dad returned, armed with antiseptic cream for the blisters, and looked just as shocked as I did! My poor Mum was putting on a brave face, even though she didn't feel great. Our server returned and announced to the restaurant that we were celebrating! She made us stand up and receive a round of applause! I was so shy!

After finishing our desserts we headed out to the lobby. My Dad asked at the desk could we possibly look into one of the rooms and they were happy to help. We went into one and had a look around before heading up to the bus stop to wait for a bus back to DTD. It was a long wait and in the end, my Mum was in a lot of pain with the blisters, so we decided it'd be best if we caught a taxi back to ASSp.

We got back to our resort after an expensive taxi ride and tried to sort Mum out before heading off to bed.

It is a beautiful resort, I loved having a wander around. The pool area looked lovely!

Unfortunately Paula, my Mum didn't improve much with them until we got home, but I'll explain in my next couple of days!

Thank-you for the congrats I adore that necklace. Simon bought it for me from the Germany pavilion in Epcot, it's a jewellery stand in the same area as the little glass shop.

It's fab! We really enjoyed our food and the service was just fantastic!

We love WC and spent our anniversary there last year and also got free champagne
I must admit I have never thought of asking to look in one of the rooms so might have try that next time.
