The Ultimate Thread of Countdown Calendars!

I have searched and found multiple threads where people have posted their ways to countdown to their Disney trips, but I thought it would be fun to have it all in one place! Over the years we've used a few different methods, but this is the one I made for this year. I saw the idea on Pinterest to countdown to Christmas, so I figured I could make a Disney one! In person, the ribbon and charger are almost the same pink, but it didn't photograph that way. I glued the polka dot ribbon onto the white ribbon before I tied the bow.

I bought a $1 plate charger at Michaels and painted the inside with chalkboard paint. Then I wrote the "days until Disney" part with a white Sharpie paint pen and glued the bow on top. The days are written with wet, white chalk. The wet chalk shows up better! Then I put the Mickey head stickers around the plate. Not the most creative thing in the world, but I like to try new things each year! Now...let's see YOURS!!

Wish I had a countdown but we don't really do them. Sorry. Hope others pipe in though, because I love looking at them!

Thank you! I used my Cricut and scrapbook paper. I have to come up with some new idea for our next trip.

Love the idea - we were simpler - Mickey head paint chips (many colors) from Home depot - #'s written on them with a black marker. We use painters tape and each day stick a new Mickey head to the bathroom mirror, for all to see in the AM.

Very simple - but I love the painted plate idea !
It is more Disney oriented.

I browsed pinterest for ideas and ended using something similar to the OP's but with markers. It's a regular picture frame and you use markers to write down on the glass cover how many days till Disney. Something like this:

I don't know how to post a picture here, but I cut strips of red, yellow, green, and blue cardstock and made (what used to be a realllllly long countdown chain. We draped it across the fireplace mantle and each day the kids took turns cutting off a link. Now it is only about a foot long since we arrive dec. 7!!!! It was really colorful and cute though.

Believe it or not, I actually hand cut the whole thing out of scrapbook paper (numbers included). A cricut would have saved me!

Last time, 30 days before we went I made a calender style countdown with a picture of Cinderella Castle and the Partners statue in front of it. I even used a Disney font. Sadly I don't have it on this PC and I have no idea where the printed out copy went.

For our next trip, I'm using the ticker on my signature and MDE to count down how long we have to go. The physical countdown was fun and cute, but I often forgot to update it.
