One of the most humorous things we saw on our Thanksgiving Wonder cruise was two examples of the ultimate "formal wear" at Palo (and I'm using that term VERY loosely). This time, everyone was dressed up in Triton's, but at Palo we spotted the ultimate well-tailored couple. Hubby was in an eye-searing bright-bright pink shirt and blue jeans. Wifey was making a fashion statement in plastic flip-flops paired with her skirt.
After that, I didn't think anything would surprise me, but on the very same night a young woman flouncing in wearing blue jeans, with totally bare feet! We're talking totally naked tootsies...no shoes, no socks, no nothing. She joined a large group that had finished eating and was hanging around for drinks and coffee.
Too bad hubby didn't have his camera...we could have started a photo gallery of "Best Palo Fashions!":jester: :jester:

Woooo! I thought the man at Palo who wore a sky blue suit with black flip flop sandles on our cruise was a funny sight but your people win hands down! Can't Disney enforce the dress code at Palo's at all?

Isn't bare feet against the health code in most places? I'm suprised they allowed that....

Alex, I was thinking the same thing. Hubby and I were making jokes with each other about "No shoes, no shirt, no service." I think you are supposed to wear shoes even in the buffet. My guess is that no one noticed her, since she waltzed in and joined a group that was already seated. I guess it takes all kinds! I love the Disney-sponsored activities, but people-watching has to be one of the most amusing activities that I've discovered on board. :D
At least the bad dressers are harmless...when hubby was wandering the ship late at night, he spotted a father and son where dad was obviously extremely drunk and totally berating and verbally abusing the poor child for no apparent reason. I know that people have complained on these boards about bad behavior by children and teens, but even with a huge population of youngsters for the holiday, virtually all of the young people we saw were very well-behaved. It's the adults who should learn some manners from the kids!

Next time that woman should try a Windjammer BAREFOOT cruise! They look at you funny if you do wear shoes to dinner :teeth:

While dining at Palo's we saw a couple turned away because they were inappropriately dressed.

it actually was a father, also intoxicated, (who was playing ping pong with his son) that was yelling at a crew member because the only open bar was "Rocking Bar D" and how far that was for him. Mind you, it was nearly 1am.

The yelling for no apparrent reason was told to us by a fellow cruiser, who heard the yelling in their stateroom.
