We leave for the happiest place on earth on Saturday! This is my first attempt at a TR so bear with me. I have enjoyed reading everyone’s TRs so I wanted to make sure I do one too. Reading them helps pass the days you are waiting for your trip to get here. We are doing a girls trip my mom and I are taking my twin nieces for the first time. Let me introduce us:

Me I’m 31 and have been down to DL 5 times the last time was 2006. We were there for the world premiere of the first Pirates movie. Fantasmic wasn’t running because of this and Space was down for referb so I’m really looking forward to this. This is also the first time we are flying down. We have taken the train 4 times and driven once.

My momma we’ll call her Fairy Grandmother. She loves disney I think this is trip 9 for her I have pics of her and my dad there on their honeymoon. She is really excited to go for the first time without boys so we get to do all the girly things!

The girls well call them Snow White and Aurora. They are my little brother’s identical twin daughters they are 6 and 46.5 inches tall! This will be their first trip, first plane ride too! They have no idea they are going we don’t plan on telling them until Friday night. They just think we are all going to grandmas for a slumber party! It has been so hard to not tell them. (Aurora is on the left)

Last trip in 2006 my mom took me, my brother, and my sister’s three kids. The smaller two we kept is surprise from, they never had cable tv growing up, so they didn’t really get what all the DL hype was about until we got there.

Our plans so far:

We will be flying in Saturday the 4th and leaving next Saturday the 11th. We will be staying at the HOJO and we have 6 day park hoppers! We have also purchased the Photo Pass +

We would like to add a day to our tickets so we can go to DL everyday. Hopefully we will be able to if not we may do a day a Knotts.

We have reservations at BB I’m taking my mom there for lunch she has always wanted to eat there but with 6 people usually she would say “it’s too expensive” so I’m taking her she doesn’t know though, this trip will be filled with lots of surprises.

We also have made reservations at BBB for both the girls they will love that and we will be having lunch at Ariel’s Grotto after the makeovers.

We also have a reservation at Minnies at the end of the week, we’ll see if we eat here depending on how into the characters they are.

And Fantasmic dessert reservations which I'm really excited about!

I’m so exited I can’t wait to let the cat out of the bag on Friday! They are going to be thrilled they think they can’t go to DL until they are 48 inches, we measured last week and they are hoping at Christmas time, little do they know. I made an iMovie video to tell them we are going it's about 4 minutes long and we are going to definitely video the reaction. I'll link the Youtube video once it's up.

Pics to follow today they are taking forever to upload on flicker

Take your time to see all the new small entertainment shows makes DL different than a normal theme park.

The Princesses are great. However at the Princess Fantasy Faire, Meeting Rapunzel, meeting Merida, and Pixie Hollow all take a long wait. For these it is best to get there early.

With a little patience you can meet several Princesses at the Castle without long waits. They come out at random times between 10:00am and 1/2 hour before a parade. If no Princesses are at the castle, or it is just the Fairy Godmother, check back in 20 minutes. They get to the Castle on the path from the Tomorrowland entrance between the Hub and Pixie Hollow, so that most guests will not mob them.

Here is Snow White with the Queen walking up to the wishing well on the right side of the Castle, followed by Cinderella. Nobody was following or waiting for them.

The many small shows are great fun for any outgoing kid. Mary Poppins show in front of the Castle at 1:00 is great and if the kids volunteer, they can dance with them. Hidden gems include: the Wilderness Explorer Ceremony at Redwood Creek in CA, DJ's Dance and Drive (Wait at the intersection on the side towards Bugs Land), Phineas & Ferb in front of Arials, Minnies Fly Girls, Instant concert with Goofy. After lunch at Arials go to Dancin' with Disney (If one of the girls is a Cinderells she will get lots of attention from her Step Sisters (Drizzla & Anastasia are the funniest characters around). Go to the Thunder Ranch Jamoree, there is usually nobody there and you can spend a lot of time playing with Mickey & Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Clarabelle Cow, and several rare characters.

Go see the Aladdin show, (Show up 30-35 minutes early). I was there with granddaughters last year and and I was suprised that they they wanted to see it over and over? If you see a Character (Policeman, Photographer, Woman with Dog, at the CA entrance stop and talk with them. The Policeman can issue you a ticket if you ask for it.

Ask to Pilot the Mark Twain and get a Certificate. (If you are nice and patient this can be an unforgettable treat.)
Here are twin girls steering, blowing the whistle, and ringing the bell of the Mark Twain.

The best unannounced or listed thing is Musical Chairs with the Mad Hatter and Alice. Often other character join in (Queen of hearts, White Rabbit, Tweedle Dum & Dee.) It is normally at 1:00pm at the Piano at the end of Main Street. It is 1/2 hour playing with characters with NO line and NO waiting. It is spontaneous and different. This week when Alice was out early she quit the game and played for a long time with a little girl and her dolls. She took a shoe off of the Minnie doll and had the Hatter come over to show how much bigger his shoe was. When she found out the name of her Firefly, she garbbed it and stopped the game to introduce him to everyone. She then took Minnies shoes and put them on the firefly, etc. This girl was in Heaven.

But you never know who will show Up. Cruella walked by this same game and shouted at them to stop playing their silly game. They said it was a game of skill, so she pushed the spectatures aside and sat on a chair and shouted "There, I win, how hard is that....." and stomped off

Also, check at 10:00am at the Coke corner behind the Piano, Bert and Mary Poppins hide there, often they are alone and will spend a lot of time with you.

Slow down, use fastpasses, and visit with the cast members. Have Fun.

Thanks for all the great tips! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to tell them they are going on Friday I has been so hard keeping this secret!!!
