I called Disney this morning and asked if any new ap rates were released yet past Oct 4th and she said....... you can no longer do that over the phone from now on you have to do it online with the best rate program.
So basically we have been lied to for months!!! I am so disappointed I can even put it in to words. Why all the deception?
I just thought you would like to know.

There is just so much conflicting information floating around...and it is especially frustrating that much of it is originating with Disney reservations. Their reservation system is so incredibly inept. You can get a wonderful CM when calling, but guests have had to question the information being provided for years. I know most of us on these boards have. Before they change programs, I wish they'd work on communication and providing accurate information.

We have been calling WDW every morning at 7 am since Sept. 1 and they say, " to keep calling, they can come out any day", and I read all the posts here that its no more. Someone ought to get their stories straight. I'ld believe a cast member before a private citizen forum or no forum!

Ridiculous, isn't it? I HATE the BR program. And, when it initially started I wrote a letter explaining my concerns. A CM called me back and ensured me that the old fashioned way of calling and getting a discount would always be an option.

BULL!

I do like that they have changed the window to 60 days to 120. But, I still hope and pray that BR goes away. I share your pain!

The thing is that these "private citizens" are posting information they've gotten from CMs and from a memo that was sent to some travel agents directly from Disney. So, it's not as though you're getting information from the proverbial horse's mouth and these people are just pulling their info from thin air. You're being given conflicting information from multiple arms of the same body- hence all the anger and frustration.

As far as I am concerned, every response has been as of now, there are no ap rates as there were before. ap rates will come out again, when they have to in order to fill up the hotels. just like it has always been. we can all say we have been lied to, but the fact is even when they were coming out like clock work, they were coming out only to fill up rooms. no one complained when free dining came out, even though we were never warned about it. if you called disney and asked if free dining or transportation would be coming out and they said no, would you complain of being lied to when they did come out? the bottom line is disney has and continues to treat us all pretty well. (free dining and free transportation), they listened and changed the best rate program to 60 days, and they will come out with other ap rates as needed...but as of now there arent any and it may be some time before they come out. and i dont really believe that anybody was lied to because i do think ap rates will eventually come out again, just like we were all told. we just dont know when, and apparently the br program is working a lot better than anybody at disney thought it was going to work, so there is no need for other rates at this time...at this time.

I agree with Kirbsam, Disney are playing by Disney rules, as we say here... it's their ball and they decide when the game's played and who's playing.

I personally don't have a problem with Best Rate, but then I book my trips 11 months out so that makes a huge difference. However to block out 3 weeks guests from any opportunity to bag an AP is a bit sore.

As for CM's they only pass on the info they have at that time. I rechecked yesterday and bless her heart the CM told me it would be very unlikely to get AP rates on the moderates in October because they are all booked up ..... ahhhaaa .. so why then all 4 moderates are available for the 15 days I am looking for in October???? I am not calling her a liar, I just happen to think she is misinformed on this statement.

I won't change my reservations, I have waited too long for this trip, I do however wish that I had not purchased a PAP, I could have used a 21 day ultimate ticket and saved money that way.... but it's not the end of the world...... I have my family safe and sound and we're going to have a wonderful holiday. For this I am truly grateful.

Hubby and I have been AP holders for many years and we got very comfortable knowing that there would be AP rates when we went, which was several times a year, staying at the Wilderness Lodge most of the time. I was upset when Best Rate came out, mainly becasue of the 120 day. Now that it is 60 day, I feel better about using it in the future. However, my trip in October is in the "Black Hole" and I missed out on a discount. Yes, I ranted and raved...yes I vowed never to stay on property again, yes I emailed Disney several times.....but, now we know that the AP rates we once knew are gone. I ahve grieved, I am over it...so let the Magic begin!

We are staying at the ASMo for this trip with a decent AAA discount and we have our families and our health. I won't let the nearsightedness of a few Disney executives spoil my view of the Magic. I have two young grandchildren to take with me in October who deserve the Magic.

Things change and sometimes change stinks, but Disney will always be Disney....

Don't get me wrong I LOVE DISNEY and we are still going and staying on property. I had other experiences w/ CMs that I did not post. Too long to post here. I was just venting MY personal dissapointment like so many others have done before. What I don't appreciate is some people judging what I said (while not knowing the whole story) and making it seem like I am ungrateful for what I have. I have come to expect support from these boards and not criticism.
My family and I are going to have the most amazing trip in Oct. discount or no discount. Disney is still all the magic we need!

I believe it is all a waiting gamel. With the current gas prices, we could possibly see AP rates, but then it will cost us double to fly.

we are scheduled to go again in November. Got great rate with jetblue and because I could not get AP rate, I am sadly staying offsite. I like my deluxe romms,..,,so Marriott it is for me

I can't get the BRP to work...

I put in all my info and ap # and NOTHING.

I have emailed Disney twice but I can't get it to work...Anyone else have that problem?

If anyone could check for me, I am looking for the best rate for Pop or preferably ASMo for 1 night October 28, one night November 4th, one night November 11 or November 18th.

I am still trying to figure out when we are going to do our one day on site as we have a condo for the other days...If anyone could help, I would love it.

Thanks
