As most of you who have read my trip reports are aware I usually have some kind of disater befall me when I travel. The last 2 trips have gone off without a hitch, so Silly me I was lulled into a false sense of security!!!!
Day one early flight out of Providence VIA Southwest. I had kept my 2 little ones out of school for teh week prior to the trip just to be sure they didn't get exposed to any stomach bugs. Upon arrival at the gate. A woman arrives and proceeds to stop about 3 feet from my stroller and her son begins to vomit everywhere I was pleased. Keeping them out of school makes so much sense now!!! If It wasn't so pathetic it would have been fuuny/ironic.
Heres where it is stupid. Ticket agents can stop an obviuosly ill adult from traveling. But not a child. because it is presumed the parents is substituting correct judgement. ( I asked) Very rude. I would never fly a child in that condition. It is one thing getting on a plane and not knowing. But to know and do it anyway!
Anyway we arrive at Boardwalk and guess who is behind me in the BW check in line! The same sick family, What are there a 100 thousand rooms in Orlando? what are the odds? anyway we had some room mix up upon check in. Which was corrected by a very competant sweet CM named Camille. So all was fixed. We went to the food store stocked up. My mom took older ds to MGM and Prime time cafe. I took younger 2 to the pool and put them to bed early. so that the next day we could have a rested start. A few snafus of course but otherwise ok.
