Brianna (Me!) - 18 year old Disney fanatic. I love
everything Disney, and hope to work in the Special Needs department of Disney
resorts and parks in the future.

Terry (DM) - 46 year old kid at heart. Loves
Disney, but a little apprehensive of the trip (she's shelling out the money!).
Is physically handicapped, but doesn't let it stop her from doing things she
loves!

Eric (NDBF) - My 18 year old boyfriend who is being dragged
along to help my mom in and out of the rides. While he doesn't absolutely adore
Disney, he absolutely adores me, and is willing to do whatever it is to make me
happy :).

Mary
(DC) - 24 year old Disney fanatic. She also loves anything Disney,
but is trying not to freak out and get too excited, fearing something bad will
happen and ruin her trip.

The Reason
Our family has had it's share of problems in the last year (our beloved
papa/father passed away in July, moving out of the home my mom, aunt, and I have
been raised in, my uncle's sister trying to steal their house from underneath
their feet), so we decided that 2007 would be a different year, and we'd take
our first trip ever to WDW.

The Ressies
We've had a long process trying to decide where we want to stay. We started off
at the Contemporary, then the polynesian, then the Contemporary with a MK view,
then the Grand Floridian with a MK view, then the polynesian with a MK view,
then back to the Contemporary with a MK view...and finally settled on the Grand
Floridian in the Sugar Loaf Key Concierge :cool1:

The Dates
We started with the 13-19 of December 2007, but realized that My boyfriend,
cousin, and I all had finals during those dates. The trip was changed to the

Wow, now that I look at my list, it seems like too little amount of days will be spent at Disney World :sad1:

I guess that just means we'll have to go again after this trip!

I'm sorry for your loss, and I look forward to hearing about your planning. My DH and I are going in December to celebrate our anniversary :lovestruc and the :santa: holidays. I began my first pre-trip report recently, too. It's so much fun and helps feed the excitment level.

It's alright! We've done a lot of grieving, but I know in my heart he wouldn't want us moping around forever.

I see you'll be getting in pretty much right as we're leaving! I would LOVE to stay during the time you're going, but alas, lots of our family won't be going on our trip!

Between you and me, we'll have most of December covered!!! :goodvibes

Brianna, I too am sorry for your loss. But I know that you are going to have a wonderful time at WDW with your dm, dc and bf :dance3:

I'm going Dec 1-8 for our 2nd trip and I've started my own pre-trip report. I wasn't sure about doing one, I couldn't imagine anyone being interested in my plans... but now that I've started reading other's, I get it!! It's just fun and it feeds the excitement, just like njdisneyfreak said!

Good luck with your plans and I look forward to reading about them! :thumbsup2

^^ I agree! It's so much fun reading other pre-trips, that you just want to write one yourself!

So I've been talking a lot with the GF IPO (Which, IMO, isn't as horrible as everybody says it is. Calvin has been answering any question that I have!), and trying to get things for my mom scheduled. She's going to be celebrating her 47th birthday while we're there, so I'm thinking of clever things to have in the room when we get there! Calvin suggested a miniature replica of the gingerbread house in the lobby, which I thought was pretty neat. Though calvin is great, I still think I'm going to make reservations such as Cinderella's Royal Table lunch myself, so I know it gets done.

We're thinking about doing the fantasmic! dinner package...the only problem is I wanted the calamari from Mama Melrose's, but they don't serve calamari with the fantasmic! dinner package :(.

Another exciting thing: my boyfriend proposed! We're not getting married for quite some time (we want to graduate college before we get married), but my mom and I have already picked the ceremony/reception site, and Eric and I have decided on the Honeymoon spot. The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite for the wedding...Disney 3 by land/4 by sea for the honeymoon! I wanted to get married AT disney world, but Eric said no (we've got a guest list of 75 people already 3 years in advance, and we're not going to be rude and suggest they all fly out to florida). So NDBF = sorta DFi (he's warming up to disney more and more each day!!)

I just hope the rehab is done in the sugar loaf before we get there! It's starting in september, so hopefully they'll hurry the process and we get some nicely refurbished rooms to come to!

This is my first pre-trip report, so as others, please be patient with me :rotfl:

:tigger: Myself, 35 year old kid at heart! I love everything about Disney and would love to live there :thumbsup2
Seriously, I want to be a travel agent for Disney and help others make their dreams come true too!
Been to WDW once, but soon twice and hoping for a short stay around Christmastime!

:donald: My mother-62, She loves Disney too! This will be her first trip EVER! I am taking her for Mother's Day!:flower3:

:sulley: My son, 12, BIG fan of Stitch and Buzz! Trying to get me on TOT and RRC, :scared: , I don't know about this?

:ccat: My daughter, 11, absolutely loves Jesse and Ariel! She can't wait to get into an airplane for the first time
and going to Disney is a bonus!

:mickeyjum My daughter, 7 turns 8 in WDW, she loves Cinderella and always asks me if she can live in the castle one day.
Loves Marie, Stitch and Tinkerbell, too!

Reason for Trip
On my first trip, my mother was suppose to go with me and the kids, but my father took ill and she stayed behind.
We had opted for the train. Half way to Florida I called my mother and asked how my dad was. She tells me he is
fine they just had to "jump start" him. (Her sense of humor through the whole thing still amazes me).
Needless to say I almost made them turn the train around, but then my dad called me to tell me he was fine to
take the kids to Disney because they were looking forward to it. My mother was also looking forward to it and
I promised her I would take her one day after dad was better. Six months later my dear father passed away from
a kidney disease.
Two years later, she is finally going! Me being a single mom of three kids and trying to pay for a 2 week trip is
not easy, let me tell you, but I vowed I would do it and it has become reality for all of us!

Ressie
As many were, I was awaiting AP codes, but I was a little apprehensive about waiting so long to make a reservation.
So , I made ressie for ASM Jr. Suite. Then POR. HEHE, then AP codes came out!
Hmm, back at ASM, but not the suite. This time(and officially) 2 rooms!!

Congrats on the engagement! So much to look forward to, though you are both smart to wait till after college. No need to rush. It would be great to get married in WDW, but you can celebrate anniversaries there, if you are able. We are doing that this year. It's not a Disney wedding, but it's still nice.

I look forward to reading more about your planning. Keep us posted.

ohdisco, I am sorry for your loss but love how you are picking yourselves up and plugging along. Your family and BF sound loving and kind. Here's to a magical trip full of pixie dust! pixiedust:
