So did they evacuate the tree houses at SSR and they are not going to open back up until Thursday? How does that effect those who own points there and/or had a reservation then?

Yes they were evacuated and guests moved to other rooms. Arriving guests will be moved to other rooms until the area is cleaned up and inspected.

The treehouses themselves should be fine, it is the debris around the area that is most likely the problem. I believe that they were actually meant to withstand hurricane winds and that is why they were lifted up so the winds could pass around them. Does anyone know if that is true?

I was really more interested in the point requirements and such. Did Disney refund the points require for a tree house if they put up the guest in several studios? Or what about if they had to put them in moderate hotels? I'm just curious.

The treeehouses are in a protected wetlands area. Thy were always 'elevated' 'in the trees'. When the new treehouses were built they had to match the 'footprint' of the old ones because of the protected wetlands.
