Hard to believe that one week ago, we were enjoying our last day at Disneyland. Thanks to many of you, we had a great time and got to do almost all we wanted to do.
I have to admit, I thought three full days would be plenty of time to do EVERYTHING, but it wasn't. However, my DS14's "need" to do RSR multiple times probably played more of a part in that than anything. We did the single rider line 7 or 8 times in the three days and loved every single ride.
I'm happy to report that the "light trick" still works for Fantasmic! We got there around 8 p.m. last Friday for the 9 p.m. show and no one else was there. Another family came along about 10 min later and that pretty much filled up the rail. There were several groups that came by in the next 15 min with an expectant and then disappointed look on their faces. We also watched the fireworks from that spot as there was no way we were going to get anywhere else in time. It's a great spot for the most part, but the layered, lower fireworks that should be in the front are off to the side and somewhat distracting.
We did World of Color on Thursday night, and all reports that you still need to be there when they open the lines to go in are still true. We didn't line up, but were there when they opened the area and ended up on the steps at the rail just below the bridge. It was still a good spot, and we did not get wet even though the CM said we probably would.
Even though we are WDW vets and consider that our park, we all completely enjoyed DL. To me, there is no comparision. Both coasts have a great park, and my advice is just to enjoy where you are. After all, it's all DISNEY!
