My 2 year old drives me nuts...but keeps me sane!
For one thing, it is amazing how much energy they have...and when that energy expires, they shut down on the spot! Falling asleep anywhere! Not to mention some of the most difficult places they get into! The most fragile of things can be put away for safe keeping, yet they will find it! And then there is the eating habits! Everyone could have the same food, yet they want Dad's food?!!
It is exhausting chasing after my toddler, but I wouldn't change a thing! The same little monster that keeps me on my toes...calms and soothes me when tragedy strikes! Aren't they great!::yes::

I know just what you mean!!! LOL usually the NUTS part!!! I would never have guessed that having a baby could be so much work....you think that 2am feeding is the worst....lol until you hit the terrible twos. But at the same time my DS amazes me every day. And he is so darn cute that even when he is being mischievous I can't help smile and laugh (which is WRONG) lol as you all know. Today I was sitting here at the desk he walked over to the doorway and said "I'll be right back, stay here"...lol it was so funny I guess you had to be there....

The joy of parenthood. AC you covered the entire spectrum. My take on all three of mine was their brain kicked in and they were using it to the max. Remember how we work to get them to take their first step and then wish we had not or a least knew how to roller skate to keep up with them. It seems as soon as they acquire a skill it has to be used at full speed.
In my opinion, You can love a spouse or a friend, but the true love is from a child. I will share a secret with you. They never quit loving you even when they become adults with their own family. They say it is their family and they are doing it their way. That is not entirely true as they continue to show that love in a new way. As I visit with each DD, I quietly observe them doing things as a parent that is a copy of our home as they were being raised. I know no other way they could compliment me or the memory of their Mother.
All without a spoken word.

Frustrating, yes. Enjoy as you will blink and they are grown and gone on their own.

I think that is why I savor every moment! She is the last of 3 DDs! It is bitter sweet...you want them to grow and learn, yet you want them to stay your baby forever! Aw heck, they'll always be my BABIES!

Spoken like a true Mother.
I enjoyed being a parent. I could not get enough of my first born, to think her Mother and I brought her inot the world and our lives. I told all my friends I did not feel married until then. so much joy and yes sorrow also as we lost out son when he was 17. Dui driver hit him and that is the toughest cross we are ask to bear in my mind.

My DD is 2 1/2. She amazes me everyday with how smart she is. (I know every child is a genius to their Mother! ;) ) She just comes up with things out of the blue that I have mentioned maybe one time a month ago. And then she repeats it. They are just like little sponges waiting to absorb information. I try to keep that in my mind all the time when I am around her.
One thing she has brought out in me is patience I never knew I had. And boy, is she testing it in the 2's!

So Sorry Roy! I didn't know!:( Your right! That is the toughest cross to bear!

It was very hard on Alice. That is why I tell my friends down here, feeling sorry for me, that I don't have the right to say "WHY ME" with the health issue.
Jim did not get to have his life and Alice and I did volunteer work for St. Judes and I was a Wish Cordinator for Make-a-Wish. Those brave little people are the only one's that have the right to say "WHY ME".
Mine is in God'shands.

my daughter is going thur the terriable 11,s now
