OK, the lead hostess of The Talk is Julie Chen. She is Leslie Moonves' spouse. He's the head of CBS and the guy who fired Charlie Sheen. Today, The Talk had John Stamos on with his mother and they held Stamos up like he was some kind of god. Do you think this might be a clue that Stamos actually IS up for Charlie Sheen's role in ...Men?

I thought he had twittered he wasn't going to do it. I know Charlie Sheen was making fun of him or something and apologized to him. BUT You never know with Hollywood it seems they more they deny something the more true it is. Love him anyway and think he would be a good choice.

He did deny that he would take the part, but then the next day they said he had been in talks with the people in charge.
I think he would be a great replacement, however I can't see him in the letcher role that Charlie Sheen plays. He is still and always will be the good, clean cut Uncle Jesse

I saw that he had said no and that Charlie made fun of him and later apologized, but the offer was supposed to be for a new character not taking over Charlie's. I hope they find a way to keep it on, it's a great show.

Well, I LOVED Uncle Jesse but I have to say I've thought he was creepy every since. I think it has to do with his personal life. He's AWFUL on Entorage playing himself, he says it was made up but it seemed easy for him.

I saw on tmz.com that Chuck Lorre was in talks with Rob Lowe about him coming onboard and keeping Two and half Men afloat... I dont think I would care for that!

I like John Stamos. I wish they would bring him on the show. Maybe not as the same character as Charlie, but someone different. Not sure how they'd do that, but I'm sure the writers could think of something.

Maybe they can write a script where Charlie moves away, and bring Stamos in as the long-lost brother of Charlie and John Cryer, and pick-up from there. :rotfl:

i can't see either john stamos or rob lowe taking over on 2 1/2 men, but i guess we'll see if production resumes or the show is canceled. what a horrible situation for the rest of the cast and crew. they're the ones i feel badly for.

Well, I like to LOOK at Rob Lowe so that might be ok for a while but no one can replace Charlie. The role was created for him; heck, it IS him.

I thought the same thing.

I say they should give it a shot with another actor...

I never thought I'd watch American Idol again, and yet I find myself glued to the TV every week. Loving the new judges :thumbsup2 (possibly more than the talent). ;)

It was also posted on TMZ that Charlie has a "Michael J Fox" clause in his contract meaning that he will continue to make money off of the show even if he is not on the show, similar to MJF when he left Spin City. It was also said that Charlie does not have a morality clause in his contract so the reason behind him being fired will be critical in terms of whether or not he still gets paid. It seems his reps have been prepared for a long time that something like this could happen considering they worked those 2 things into the negotiations :confused3

I thought I heard Matt Dillon's name mentioned this morning on one of the talk shows. :confused3 They were bringing him in as Charlie's brother - so what, there will be a long lost brother who shows up on the doorstep?

They should bring in Emilio Estevez! :lmao: He's been on the show once already. Wouldn't that be a kick in the pants to old Tiger Blood?! :rotfl2:

I wouldn't mind looking at Rob Lowe or John Stamos :thumbsup2 but I don't think replacing Charlie is necessary. Two and a Half Men hasn't been as funny since Jake got older.

He could be a half-brother or a step brother. Charlie's mom was married a few times.

I saw a different clip on TMZ last night. The camera man happened to catch John Stamos out on the street. Was yakking with him, casually asked what he thought of what was going on with Charlie. (They ask everyone the same thing.) Then the camera man came up with the idea that he'd be a good replacement for Charlie. Harvey & others thought it was a great idea. John is funny and has a likable quality without the porn & strippers and drug problems that Charlie has.

Chuck Lorre was probably watching, also thought it's a great idea , and today its on The Talk.

Amen to that!
I never watched the show b/c I have always had a strong dislike towards Charlie Sheen, I never thought he was that funny and he always seemed arrogant to me....and boy I turned out to be right. Winning. Duh!:rotfl:
