Just so you know, My wife and I are going to buy my son's T2i from him to take with us on our trip in Nov. (He is looking at the new 60D or a 7D) I'm looking closely at the lenses and stuff you have as well.

Your pictures are so inspiring! And I do realize that photography is way more than just the equipment. Hopefully I will have so nice shots to share as well!

Also, since I'm a fan of Japan and Japanese language, the fact that you took all those Illuminations pictures from Teppan Edo in the Japan pavillion is awesome. Plus, that processed photo from May is my current desktop background on my dual screen monitors at work (it goes across both monitors) and I have had a few people comment on what a "perfect" picture it is.

BTW, we will be at WDW from 11/4-11/8. Will you be there then?

No, we will be there 10/22-26. Had to hit the Halloween festivities. I'm glad you're going to go with an SLR. You'll have so much fun. Let me know if you have questions or need any tips before you go!

That Japan picture took me a while to work through. I had completely rejected it and then months later took another look and had better luck. There's so much to master in photoshop that as I learn a new technique, sometimes I can go back to old photos and take another shot at them. Today I'm working on learning to correct the distortion from my ultra wide angle lens. That's the exciting way I spend my day off!

I give you credit for going on ToT to get your shot. I've never ridden it, but this past trip DS thought he wanted to try it. He decided in the end not too, so I was quite relieved .

Yes, it was truly terrifying- and yet, I'm sure I will ride it again in October!

Loved your Illuminations photos (may I borrow one for my desktop pic please?) - you have really gotten some great shots esp on Splash Mountain I don't believe I've seen it from that perspective. And ToT - that is my fav ride and I'm glad you rode it at least once more.

Absolutely! I really like the Splash Mountain pictures as well. And I will ride the Tower again!

I had never noticed these guys before. They are on the front of the Cinderella float.

I just stumbled upon your TR, and I don't usually comment on them, but this picture made me so incredibly happy! Miss Bianca and Bernard are probably my favorite Disney characters EVER and they never get any recognition

Glad you commented! I was so excited when I spotted them. Photography is teaching me to pay attention to the little details- it's amazing what you can find.

Thanks so much! This may sound dorky but every once in a while, I see something and take a picture and look down at it at the LCD to see what I captured and it just makes me smile. I wish I had more confidence to take pictures of other people because that's really where the magic is, but I don't want to look like a stalker!
