Has anyone used a snack credit in 2009 yet? I'm really anxious to hear if there are any big changes. TIA.

The sticky with the 2008 reports on Snacks has a few postings for this year. Mixed info on Goofy's at DTD.

There were a lot of great snacks available in 2009. We just did the deluxe plan for a week, from 1/2/09 - 1/9/09. Snacks I got include:

-churro
-dole whip float
-mickey ice cream bars
-nuts
-"nachos" (not that good)
-pastries at Norway in Epcot
-fruit cup at hotel food court
-pastries at hotel food court
-smoothies at Magic Kingdom
-fudge at Main Street Confectionary
-chocolate dipped marshmellows at Main St. Confectionary
-rice krispie treats

Things I didn't get but had snack credit icons:
-ice cream in many places in all parks, both at carts and walk up counters, everything under $4 seemed to be included, like sundaes, cones, etc.
-crepe stand in Epcot France
-large soft pretzels throughout the parks
-desserts at counter service restaurants under $4.00
-most side dishes at counter service places under $4.00
-large selection of things at hotel food court (All Star Music had a big sign of what was available as a snack)

There were some carts in Epcot and AK that didn't take the plan at all, mostly the fancy coffee and tea stands. It looked to me that possible the patisserie in France wasn't taking the plan, but I couldn't even get in to see the sign well. I don't think I saw the icon next to any of the items, but I can't really confirm that one.

Thank you. I'm hoping not much has changed. It will make updating the sticky much easier.

2009 DDP officially starts tomorrow. Be interesting to see if anything changes after the 11th :confused3

I am anxiously waiting too, as we are trying DDP for the first time in June! We can't wait!!

Trish

What r the signs and icons you're referring to? The menu signs have icons on them?? We'll be using DDP for our first time at the end of the month. :confused3

There are little purple & white DDP square icons next to the listed menu item to let you know if it is an item you can get on the DDP. It is pretty easy to figure out what is on the plan and what isn't. What is hard is deciding WHAT to get! Dole Whip, Churro, Diet Coke, Carrot Cake, Brownie, ummm...

Only one week to go and I will have to make those tough decisions once again!

Thank you for this information. Is this also available for December 2009?:)

Hopefully we can also check this on our next trip. :rotfl:
