Has anyone else not gotten all of their points yet?
If I check my score, I have been awarded points for things like "Jeff says your name" etc, but I have NO bonus points. I had selected "catches a fish" for Ozzy, and "kisses another survivor" for both Parvati and Amanda.
Hoping they just aren't done scoring yet, cause I could swear I saw some fish-catchin' and some kissin' goin' on!!

I had "gets naked" for James, but it was just Wishful Thinking on my part... LOL

Well, I know that I have earned my first points and some lucky bonus points, too! I had Ozzy for kissing points, but I probably should have had him for fishing points. I just didn't want Amanda on my team.

I dodged a bullet because I thought Mikey had a big ol' target on him, but thankfully he wasn't voted out. I don't think I want him on my team anymore.

So what is up with Joel? Do you think he should he have been shaking things up at this point in the game when he was clearly with the numbers? Then, he turns back at tribal and actually votes for Tracey?

The fav tribe came out of the first tribal council stronger for having lost Fair Play. The fan tribe choose to hang onto Chet, who is clearly a liability at the challenges. The fan tribe may be hopelessly fractured while the favs seem to be smart enough to play as a team (at least for now). Add to that the early fire, shelter and fishing gear on the fav side. I could see this turning very bad for the fans in the next couple of weeks.

I agree with you, Pete (yay!) The fans are falling apart while the favorites seem to be gathering strength... but that's only what we're led to believe by what they choose to show us on the show....

On the web site there is a clip where they show everyone casting their vote. Joel says he made the decision on the way to tribal council and that it was a "failsafe." I think he said it was protect his two alliances with Alexis and somebody else but maybe it was against the alliance of Alexis and somebody else? I'll have to rewatch that later.

but I just read the spoilers and I am convinced that the final 4 will include Joel, and he might just win it all.

I would really be interested to hear why it was a good move get rid of Mary. I can give Joel some credit for putting a plan together and making it happen. There must be some logic in it because more that the three outsiders went along with it. I understand that he wanted to chop the legs out from under someone he saw as a threat (Mikey). I just think the move puts a target on Joel. It may also send the tribe back to tribal council again if Chet continues to perform so poorly at the challenges. Where's the upside?

Thanks, Pete! Unfortunately, the speakers on my laptop are just about fried. I have them turned up to maximum when I watch the show, but if anyone talks quietly, I totally miss what they say... I miss probably about 1/4 of the conversations that take place...

I don't see an upside. All I see are two males bucking it out for control and dominion... typical. Joel saw MikeyB as a threat simply bc he was trying to take control of the tribe, and Joel wanted to be the one in charge... So he threw out Mary to get back at MikeyB. Stupid male move. It had no benefit; it was all about who had the "control". One of the "power hogs" will have to go... or the team will be even further divided very soon. That's my interpretation of it anyways

Good point, it should not be difficult they should do them closed captioned as well. I will write.

I would wait on that decision. Last night, while it worked to the way he planned, you get a sense he has a big ego and not too sure if he can keep it quiet before he ticks someone off.

Well, if you have ever watched Closed Captioning, it is always sponsored by someone, and the networks actually do not do the captioning, it is usually done by the National Captioning Institute, so the fact that they would have to pay for it probably makes them not do it. And then you would have to work in some kind of switch to turn it on and off on the tech side of things. I know it CAN be done, as some others have done it, but the networks probably do not see the cost effectiveness in catering to the hearing impaired.

I once bought a set of DVDs - was really excited too Highlander Season 1 - then there was no captioning on them - I am deaf, how the heck am I supposed to watch these things? Needless to say, I did not buy any more Highlander seasons. And the channel AMC too, never has captioning.

I think thats going to hurt Joel honestly, but not immediately. It shows he is not just a physical threat, he is also devious, and showing some leadership qualities. To much experience on this season to let such a threat go to far IMO.

The fans are totally fractured and falling apart. I dont see them winning a single challenge for quite some time. I think if it werent for overconfidence the favorites would have PWNED first challenge also. I see a real phycial challenge next time from the previews. I do want to see James and Joel face off. I also want to see cherie toss some of those girls around also LOL. Next week looks interesting. Glad ozzy has some fishing equipment now He is the only thing keeping me in the postitive this week I think ROFL.
