In the car on the radio this morning the guy was telling a story about Cheerwine and he goes "Can you believe Cheerwine was actually 'banned' for a while because some northeners thought Cheerwine had actual wine in it?" I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD. I just think it's the dumbest thing to think Cheerwine would have wine in it, like... it's a soda... not a wine... and when you drink it you can obviously tell it's not wine... and so the guy goes on about how dumb some people are and I'm just laughing. Because I didn't really know Cheerwine was a Southern thing. We get Cheerwine slushies all the time at baseball tournaments and stuff. I looove Cheerwine it has a really unique taste and isn't like all the other soda.

But if we're gonna go historically, that is how it was at that time.

But people are reading this book in today's time and things AREN'T like that. And the book was written making a big deal about stereotypes, that's the biggest thing about the whole book. It makes people think that Southerners act that way NOW, because some people are too dumb to realize times have changed. The historical aspect doesn't matter when it comes to the stereotypes of today, which I'm talking about.

I have zebra/hot pink/turquiose toenails. It took me 45 minutes to paint them. But, they look awesome!

…I don’t think anyone in my class last year thought it was about now. It was pretty obvious that it was about the past…

The entire point of the book is that it's anti-racism. The fact that it takes place in the south is a small detail.

Agree with ya! I think southerners get stereotyped the worst out of anyone. It's not fair. I don't think we act at all like most people think, or think of us as.

I love that movie!! I'm not ashamed either..it just gets tiring when people are like "Oh...black and white shows are boring."
I'm like no. They're not. Haha

Yeah, that just irks me. HELLO! Most of them are better than todays. What also irks me is when people were like, 5 years back, when you are listening to all this old music and their like "What the heck? Why do you listen to that?" and now they listen to it. Hypocrites!

No I haven't watched anybodys video hahahaha

Watch mine (: :

:goodvibes

Weren't you the one who yelled at everybody on the flockdraw?
I wasn't there, but that's just what I heard...

Nobody was yelling at anyone.

Rebecca Black is on Katy Perry's Last Friday Night video.

Gee, I wonder why...

What's funny is that in the video, she's hosting a big party. At least, I assume she is, since she answered the door... She is still 13, right?

Oh, Artie from Glee is in it as well.

I can't quit laughing at my cousin's eye.(Quasimodo) hahahahaha I feel bad for her, though.

It seems people use the past to judge the present, when the beliefs of the past are totally different from that of the present.

I'm drawing a squirrel from a picture I found online and it looks pretty good :) I feel like my old artist self again :goodvibes
