A few weeks back I was thinking to myself the reverse - why are there so few WWYD thread lately? I'd say things currently are back to normal. I've only been on this website since '05, most/many members have been on longer, but in my time they have always been plentiful.

Did you not realize that the Dis members are all-wise, all-knowing, most important people in the world. Geez, get with the program.

The people that start WWYD threads just aren't part of the all-wise set and know they need to have the rest of us tell them what to do.

I've started WWYD threads before because I want opinions and advice from outside minds, and I like the anoyminty, (sp?) of the internet, since it would get back to people IRL, and sometimes that's not always the best thing.

Maybe it's because some people are starting to question their own judgment, after being told how wrong they are on previous threads?

Sometimes, it is just to get other ideas, I think. Not so much "I want to do what the majority suggest" but more " I have tried this and this and this, and they haven't worked. Anyone have any other ideas to try?"
