i read all these raving reviews from these critics about how great the music is on this tour...ok, is it me or do the stones sound really that bad live or is it just poor mixing....i know it sounds different from being there but that is the worst sounding tv concert i have ever heard.......

Goofyme. . . I know what you mean!! Not sure how they sound live these days, but the sound on the HBO was real "tinny" or something.

I have an old video from '69 called "Gimme Shelter" and the sound is a heck of a lot better on that then this show tonight. .

A friend of mine just saw them in Boston at the Fleet, and said they were 'OK', but she also thought their sound mix was off.

Mick Jagger has never been known for being able to sing live. After a certain point, there is only so much you can do with the sound for a live mix. There is something to be said for the magic of a recording studio!
