What's wrong with a reference to pole dancing? There's no way young kids could have any concept of what pole dancing is really like unless they've been exposed to it, and mine certainly haven't. I would imagine the term "pole dancing" would conjure up very innocent images of people dancing with poles in their hands, or people dancing around a pole, but the actual movements and the dress (or lack of) of real pole dancers would never occur to them, having never seen or heard of "real" pole dancing before.
So many of these questionable things that are put into family movies are put there so that the parents can enjoy the movies along with their kids - those things go straight over young children's heads! We only understand them because we are adults and have the knowledge and experience to relate to them. And actually, unless a pre-teen or teen has already been exposed in some way to these things that are mentioned (e.g. pole dancing), those references will go straight over their heads as well, or at least will create a different mental picture than we adults will get.
