The sun is finally coming our here, after about 3-4 days of gloom and rain. Sunny and warm today and tomorrow, then the gloom and rain moves back in for another 4-5 days. Looks like it's going to be one disappointing summer here.

We had a blast at my nephew's college graduation bbq yesterday! Today we are resting/recovering! Looks like a nice day out there!

Well I was awakened at 3AM by a huge thunder and lightning storm. You could see the flashes through your eyelids The rain was hitting the window so hard it sounded like someone taking a shower

Now it is pitch dark and there is another storm rolling through. I plan to stay in and do nothing all day. OK, maybe a crossword puzzle, but that's it!

The tree pollen was killing me last month, it seems much better now. My next bad season is ragweed in the fall. achoo!

THe sky is almost black, but its daytime. We've got a good thunderstorm coming thru the Philly area. Almost looks like mid-afternoon at Disney on a summer day.

I love thunderstorms, not so much at 3am, though. We haven't had any in awhile and the latest weather predictions say it should continue to stay dry for the next couple of months.

Dry for MONTHS????

That's what they say. We're in a pretty extreme drought right now. Last I knew we're about 2 ft behind for the past year and a half. May is supposed to be a pretty wet month, but not this year. The extended outlook is keeping things dryer than normal and hotter than normal. I'm hoping the weather experts are wrong. DH works out in the heat, so, it's definitely better for him if they are wrong.

Good Morning!

I was awakened yet again by thunderstorms at 2AM. The fog is so thick you can cut it with a knife. This weather is not kind to my fibromyalgia - I couldn't sleep with the pain in my legs last night

It's been so gross all week - if you take a shower in the morning and put the towel on the towel rack it is still wet in the evening

We actually got a storm here last night, too! I don't think the weather people expected what we got. 2 tornados within 50 miles of here, almost 2 in hail, lots of wind. Started dying down by the time it got here and didn't last too long, but a little rain is better than none!

PKsMom, my inlaws have done a mail in bridal shower and a mail in baby shower before. Yup, no need to buy a cake and make Hawaiin punch for your guests, just send out form letters with registry information and an address for you to ship the gifts to. Love the class of it all.

Snappy, congrats on the promotion.

It's hot and dry here. We only have a few inches of rain a year, always in Dec and Jan. Not much ever at any other time; I can't remember a time when we didn't have water restrictions for watering yards, etc.
