She's had a rough few months; her Dh passed away in November and then she had the stroke last month. Thank God she has no effects from it other than forgetting about six hours when it happened.

It was a wakeup call that we don't see each other enough, so she and my other sister and I try to get together for lunch every week or two.

I'll probably sleep over, so HASTA LA VISTA babies!!!!! Talk to you all tomorrow!!!

I decided to let cooler heads prevail. When I got back from buying bread (uh, lunch actually), I checked and it seemed others picked up where I left off, so I left it alone. I'm staying away -- it's not worth losing my privileges on the DIS, but once, just once...

There are 3 or 4 political posters, the top one being our common "friend" you responded to, that I just can't deal with out here. Just can't do it. I don't care that they have different opinions, it's the mean spirited part of it that kills me. Oh well, at least I feel I have a happier life because I don't find it necessary to toss jabs all day long. Looking at houses online while eating girl scout cookies (today it's lemonades, I had to back off thin mints for awhile) is so much more fun.

Ya, you gotta watch out for those protected ones or you'll get points. If I see her name on a thread, I automatically stay clear as it only irritates me. I thought your posts were very nice and mature. I'm sure that's why it was ignored.

My inlaws are uber-conservative too and they've been instructed by my husband to never ever ever mention certain topics around me. I don't care that they think differently than I do but I can't stand the bitter ugly comments that are made. So if my father in law, who can't help himself, makes a comment, my husband pops out of his chair like a jack in the box and heads for the car so we can leave before a fight ensues.

The lemon shortbread ones are called Lemonades. Pretty good. I know different areas sell different ones. I ordered the bulk of mine from someone in San Diego and they didn't have the Lemonades, I had to get those locally. I only ordered 14 boxes this year. I keep most of them at work so I don't have to share.

I'm at it again. It really just frustrates the he!! out of me that I'm the one that will be banned for directly calling her out. I HATE that we need to post in a round about way and then her supporters call us out every time on it, almost teasing and daring us to mention her name. If that's what the administrators want, then so be it -- it's not my board, but I can't believe that they'd be willing to ban/lose so many people for one poster. It's obvious how many people are truly upset by the nonsense.
