The Skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe

WCC Skillet All-You-Care-To-Enjoy - Includes mixed greens with apple vinaigrette and fresh baked cornbread, smoked pork ribs, pulled pork, oven-roasted chicken, pork sausage, mashed potatoes, creamy coleslaw, beans, and corn on the cob.

No dessert is not included.

Personally I did not like the skillet... no one in our party liked it. I wish I had ordered something else. We went back for breakfast and my husband ordered something off the menu that was not on the skillet and said it was great. I ordered off the menu, but it was something that was also on the skillet, and it was horrible. I think they just grabbed it off the line for the skillet. I am going back in December and will be ordering something that is not on the skillet!

The cornbread here was amazing! We got a skillet for 2 people and i ate all the cornbread myself and ordered more

We all got the skillet and loved it here are some pics i took of it!

We loved the skillet. In fact my husband thought WCC was the best place we ate at in Disney! The chicken was fabulous and hubbie loved the brisket. And I agree with the previous poster about the cornbread... it was to die for! But no, the dessert was not included. We got the chocolate cake and split it. It was worth every penny.

I'm in shock here! We will be ordering the skillet in Nov. We are on the DDP and i thought it included a dessert. Is the dessert included on the ddp or are you talking OOP?

no worries! on the DDP, you will get dessert included. pretty sure the other posters were talking about just ordering OOP.

We all ate the skillet last year (and loved it!) the adults meals are without dessert but the kid's skillet came with 'worms in dirt'

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! My MIL ate all the shrimp (which was FINE with the rest of us), loved the pulled pork and chicken and all the fixins. NOT a huge fan of the cowboy beans, but everything else was worth it. ASK FOR KETCHUP even if you're not going to use it. TRUST ME! :rotfl:

oooh, mean! Why don't you tell them to try the 'delicious' Beverly at Ice Station Cool in Epcot, too? Just be sure to take a huge gulp, not a little bitty sip, the first time you try it.:rotfl2:

As far as Whispering Canyon, be sure to ask for extra straws and a "large" soda. Also be sure to dine there solo. They'll supply you with a dining companion. Of course, he's only about three feet tall though. lol

I don't know that we'll have room for dessert either... it's just that most of the other all you care to eat, such as Ohanas, come with a dessert, so I was just curious.

Actually now that you mention it! It did include dessert ! because we said we couldnt force dessert down and our waitress said that we could have it boxed and take it with us! And we got 3 choc cake pieces and one fruit dessert and two cookies for the kids meal dessertt! How could I forget we carried that big shopping bag of desserts around MK that night! LOL! And yes we were on the ddp!

Well, I have to say we just returned a few hours ago from Disney. We ate at WCC( myself, DM and 3 kids), loved the food, HATED the resteraunt. I know it was going to be loud, but.... It started with the unsupervised kids at the Lincoln log table. Some boy knocking everyones houses down, throwing the Lincoln Logs, and several just totally running WILD! Then 30 minutes past reservation time we were seated. We all ordered the skillet ( no extra charge for the kids on DDP) and loved it. I have to say with the screaming and yelling I didn't eat much. There was a table of 5 again unsupervised kids seated next to us that continuously yelled for the ketchup. NOt the waitress but the kids just started yelling for it. THey were throwing food, running around yelling and were about 8 or 9 years old. Back to the food. The chicken was wonderful, so were the beans. They had a nice little kick to them. I highly recommend. I also understand that if you don't want something, say brisket, you can ask of a substitution. Just be prepared to leave with a headache. Our waitress told us she has one every night.
