Has anyone seen this show? I don't know a lot about it. I see that it's playing not too far from me. Thought we might go check it out.

We saw it a couple years ago in Boston and we loved it! :) (I am hoping to get tickets for Blue Man Group for the family for Christmas...)

We saw it a few years ago too and really enjoyed it - great show - amazing what they can make music/rhythm/comedy with....everything, including the kitchen sink ;-)

Great show, two thumbs up! We loved Stomp and Blue Man Group.

Myst

DS17 the resident percussion freak went twice last year and LOVED it. It was loud, but GREAT!

GO GO GO!!

We've been twice. It is a spectacular show! It's just amazing to watch what these guys (and girls) can do w/ the most ordinary objects. There is a lot of humor in the show, too - it's not just music.

We're impatiently waiting for them to come back to Richmond so we can go again. Totally worth every cent of the ticket cost.

Oh cool -- thanks for your comments. I will definitely be getting tickets. I kind of ran it by DH earlier. He doesn't think I'm serious about going. I think I'm going to go ahead and order the tickets and just not say anything more to him about it. Then right as the show date approaches, I'm going to pull out the tix, bam!!

:cool1:

would this show be enjoyable for a 6 and 8 year old?

We took DS when he was 5 and he loved it! There were qute a few younger children in the audience when we saw it (in DC) so it seemed to be pretty kid friendly. I'd love to go again...!

this is odd, in music class at school, we're talking about stomp and we get to make our own.

I'm not a fan of musicals, but this was very entertaining. It's a fun time. :)

Only take young children if they can tolerate loud noises and can sit for the length of the show. DD was 5 or so when we went and it was just a bit too long for her and she got the fidgets..

both of my kids have seen Broadway shows.....Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia, etc.....so the length of it shouldn't be a problem. I just wasn't sure if Stomp would keep them interested.

My wife and I went for our anniversary a couple years ago and spent the whole show wondering why we hadn't brought the kids. I think they would have loved it. We are considering getting tickets for a Stomp show that is taking place about 3 hours from home in Feb and taking the kids along.

Wow...I guess I am the only one that didn't really care for that show! For the first 30 minutes it was good...after that I couldn't wait for it to end....

It's a great show, my kids really enjoyed it. If you see it in NYC the theater is small so even the top last row has a great view!

I am too lazy and tired righ tnow to do a search....which theater is it in NYC? I know it is off-Broadway....but "a little bit off"...or down in the village "off"?

It's really off Broadway. The theater is 2nd Ave. and I think it's 9th st. Orphium (I spelled it wrong) Theater I think.

I liked it. Make sure to take Advil or something before you go...and during intermission if you get headaches easy like I do.
