DAY 1:
We surprised the kids by playing a treasure hunt game , the last clue was t
In the trunk of our car, the bags packed and a note saying we were leaving in 5 hours! The looks were priceless and il post the video on return.
The 10 hour drive from NC went smoothly till FL I-4, where we sat in traffics for 2 hours, may i loooooove florida traffic.
Checked in at 2pm , room was ready, exactly whAt we requested 3rd floor. Fiji. Incredible garden room view of the lagoon, the white and beach of the Poly and the Laua cove. Its been really quiet here, but we have not been here most evenings.
Did the Spirit of Aloha dinner at night , Which was fun. I do think the should do more the culture and tradition and less of the Disney musical number type of thing. All and all decent food , beautiful people dancing half nakid, not to shabby. The fire show at the end was work the price alone.
We did decide to hi MK afterward, not a good idea. These were level 9 crowds. Standing room only. We only goto rode Small World, due to POTC being close for and extended times,.
We left because it was just mayhem. For some reason they were shunting people leaving, through Casey Corner??? Ok lets fit everyone in Adventures land, Liberty Square though CC and frontier land though Casey corner!!
We tool the launch back-to Poly, and got a unique perspective on Wishes, from the launch!!

DAY 2
Lots a problems at HS, more coming
DAY 3: thing improved Alot!!!, more tomorrow and pins' n trading is great. And our 3 FLE preview with pics
Ok so day 2 did not so well.
The morning breakfast at Ohana's went wonderful. The Mickey waffles are still to die for, and i bet my colon is happy from all the juice i drank, must have been a carafe myself!
Boy , am I regretting posting about the bus situation!!! They were defenitly not enough buses , and lets leave it at i think a 60 minutes trip for on site transportation is too long.
We got there 5 minutes past rope drop and went right to TSM which only had a 30 minute wait. Well after about 50 minutes they closed the ride for technical difficulties. I have has this happen several times before but usually a universal fast pass is offered. Not this time, FP returns. Were already for 5:30,. With Fantasmic ADR at 5 we were screwy for TSM . We trudged through a crowdd entrance to customer service and a nice CSM gave use a FP to use anytime. But let me say there were quite a few upset people there that day. Maybe they were understaffed but to me the park felt very disorganized.
We enjoyed IJSS as usual, but the area was filled to capacity.
The Stunt Show my sons favorite, was suddenly closed 2 days before we left. He was so disappointed but handled it like a trooper.
Summery
AFI was closed
Backlot was closed
TSM down for 3 hours.
So you can imagine with this combo, even the Great Movie Ride had an HOUR wait!!!!
Also our ADR for Sci--fi was almost 40 minutes past due for seating even though we were 10 minutes early!!!
On the plus side, Brown Derby and Fantastic were superb! We did get to ride TSM but it took till 10 minutes to park close, also squeezed in TGMR
Star Tours refab really improved the ride, now its really good !!!
We also got to see the Osbourne lights with practically no one there since it was 1/2 after closing. We learned that they added a second Fantastic show that day because of all the issues. I have never seem such a line for AFTER scheduled closing!!!!

Day 4
Animal Kingdom
We choose to skip the buses this time and are very glad we did. DIS poster are correct if you have a car use it and skip the buses.
The day was perfect weather, and my sons adventurous streak was so strong he did Everest!!! (8 times)
We did all major attractions and shows except Dino land , but only because the kids wanted to do KS and Kali 2x. It was way to cold to do Kali once but my DS loves it so i got soaked twice.
We finished the day at Dinosaur the ride and rode 3 times in a row.
A great day at AK!
