The Search For The Elusive Duffoofy Or Our Wacky Family Blowout!!

It is a little different. The beginning is the same, but the WDW has a little bit more to the actual ride part than the one in DL, but the DL one shoots you up faster. Both are fun though.

Thanks, Andrea!!

Okay so here is a revised list of who's who in our list of characters for our trip.

Me!
WBG, my hubby!
Grumpy(who really needs a new name,) my mom!
Snow White, our oldest daughter Kacy!
Princess Dot, our daughter Kody!
Simba, our son Loren!
Fairy God Mother, Belen my mom's best friend and grandma to next two members of the party!
Buzz Light Year, Vincent who is Loren's bff and Fairy God Mothers grandson!
And last but not least Tinkerbell, who is Cheyanne 6 years old and full of energy. Belen's granddaughter!

Princess Dot is getting very excited already. It has been about two years since she has been there and it is all exciting! All of the changes and everything are a big deal for her! We are search menus and deciding where we want to eat and she is making ride lists! If the excitement continues at this pace she will be wired for sound by November!!

That's great that she is actively helping in the planning!!

Thanks, Andrea!!

I'm waiting for her to start posting. She and I decided that we will be sharing a fried green tomato sandwich together. She is making me more excited with her excitement.

Buzz Lightyear was over last night and he loves Disneyland so he and I were talking about the trip. He is really excited too. I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up on the trip report too. The only one of the teenagers that I don't think will put in an appearance is Simba. He doesn't have a Disboards account. He is just as happy to let the girls and I plan everything.

I love those character names. Princess Dot will be happy when she sees in my siggy that I'm a rusher (big time rush).

That is so nice Snow White is getting in on the planning. So much more fun when someone else shares your planning excitement :cool1:

I can't wait to see the kids reactions when they see what you put for their names.

All I get from Snow White is reasons why she doesn't want to eat at different places. pirate: Princess Dot on the other hand is so excited to go she will eat anywhere! She has requested counter service meals instead of sit down except for a character meal.

I can't wait to see the kids reactions when they see what you put for their names.

They all like their names!!

Can't wait to see pics of Car Land. Is CA's ToT the same as FL's?

They are different. CA's ToT doesn't have a randomized drop sequence. It's always the same patteren. Also the "scenes" in the elevator are on different floors, the elevator doens't move through the scenes.

Thank you Kirsten! I forgot it hadn't been that long since you had gone to WDW.

They are different. When the first starts, CA's ToT pushes back whereas DHS's ToT goes straight up.

Hi kids!!

Well, the great food debate continues......but, we did decide to chance the character meals even if they tend to be buffet. So, we are going to eat at Goofy's Kitchen one day. I am thinking that we might eat lunch there, we have done breakfast and brunch in the past. The main things that Princess Dot is interested in is the Mickey Mouse macaroni and cheese, and WBG wants the peanut butter and jelly pizza. :rolleyes1

I am so excited for this trip. In 3 weeks I will have the last of my money for the trip saved!!! So I am trying to get the meals at least somewhat figured out. For instance how many character and sit down meals we may want. WBG has been working almost non stop with only one day off a week and he works 12 hour and a half hour days on his feet. It is starting to really wear him down. He is looking so forward to November and sharing with the family some of the excitement we shared in February. I was talking with Fairy God Mother the other day and she is really excited for the trip. She has never been during the Christmas holiday season. None of her family has.

Buzz Lightyear is usually the one that shares the biggest amount excitement with me on the trips and that is part of what makes it so fun to go as such a big group. Tomorrow is Tinkerbell's 6th birthday. They are having a blow out of a party at Chuck E Cheese tomorrow for 20 of her closest friends.:scared1: I wish Fairy God Mother the best of luck with that one!!:rotfl: I could not do that at all!!:faint: But Fairy God Mother would do anything for Buzz and Tink.

So I will be posting more in the next months and I think I am going to add a few pictures from the last big trip the 9 of us took to Disneyland in 2010. Ciao!!

Yay on almost having all the money saved! And deciding on a meal! I love booking sit down meals, as it is a nice time to relax and enjoy being who you are with. I would like to try Goofy's Kitchen next time, as I still haven't been.

yay for having almost the money saved and for some food talk :cool1:

I hope that Tink had a great birthday.

Oh she had a blast!

It's so hard to get everyone to agree on a meal with such a large group. I need to to confer with Fairy Godmother and her family as well as my own. It can get tiring!

Thank you Kelly. I plan on some more food talk. It is under 6 months now!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Okay, now that we are inside of six months I need to seriously start deciding on food!! Of course if you know me you also know that all of this is subject to change.

There are some definite things that are must haves. Like Princess Dot must have nachos from White Water Snacks, plus she wants breakfast from the Riverbelle Terrace. She wants the potatoes that come with the breakfast the most. Snow White will agree because she HAS to have a Mickey Mouse pancake.:rolleyes1 Simba will agree because.......well Simba is a growing boy and loves food!!:rotfl:

The nachos Princess Dot is craving.

This is an image I got from google of the Mark Twain breakfast that Princess Dot is wanting.

I think that we will only have breakfast and dinner as at least a family unit. I think lunches unless it is for like Goofy's Kitchen we will all go our own ways. I will make sure my kids have food money, but then who knows. A lot of times they want to grab food on the run, where WBG, Grumpy, Fairy God Mother and I might want to sit and enjoy a meal.

I found this to share about Goofy's Kitchen.

I like your reason for edit :rotfl:

Goofy's kitchen sounds good

Think good idea to let the kids have lunch on their own and older folks can have relaxing lunch if they:) want

:rotfl: Thank you!

It is good and it is a lot of fun. WBG loves the peanut butter and jelly pizza, and according to Princess Dot they have excellent Mickeyroni and cheese.

I do too because I like to enjoy a shady spot to sit and relax for a while.
