Okay, this may sound silly to some but I've never spent days in the middle of the ocean on a boat. When I'm at the beach though, my hair tend to frizz and curl out of control. It's not pretty. Anyway, just wondering what people's experience has been and do they know of any hair products that help?

My hair is exactly the same way. I use stuff called Physique. It comes in a orange, silver, and white bottle. It's not a gel, but its for keeping hair straight and friz free.

Great! Thanks for the tip!

Sounds a lot like my hair, and with the humidity it is what I would call IMPOSSIBLE... :guilty: So, let's just say I wear a lot of clips and try and keep my hair up, that way, it is out of my face.

:)

I have very curly hair that frizzes easily. I have been on quite a few cruises. Outside in the wind is where I have the most problems. I do tend to keep it clipped up or in a ponytail if I'm going to be outside. I also use Ouidad products on my hair. They are great!

Remember that Friends episode where they went to some Caribbean Island for Ross' speech and Monica's hair did that Diana Ross thing? Yep. That's me in every picture from our last Caribbean vacation. My salvation was my big straw hat! Melissa

The wind was my biggest foe. If your hair is long enough, try a braid. For a dressier look, I twist the braid into a bun and secure with the fancy bobby pins and a clip. French braids are even better if you have someone who can do it.

I guess I never thought about the wind before, just the humidity. OMG! Between the humidity and the wind, I'll look a wreck! Looks like I'd better pack a baseball cap.
I had thought about getting my hair cut before we left but now I think I'll keep it longer so I can do more with it.

OH MY! ME TOO! We have pictures from the Virgin Islands from a few years ago and I barely recognize myself.

Yep, that's always my goal - to grow my hair out long enough before a cruise so I can put it up! Good thing we usually book our cruises pretty far ahead of time! ;)

I usually wear my hair curly by the beach, no use in fighting the salty air! I use a line called sleek by Matrix, when I blow my hair straight, I use a dot of it and it keeps some humidity out, when I wear my hair curly, I use a larger amount and let my hair dry natural. Being by the salty air, my curls are great!

My hair is very fine and very straight. Any attempt to give it some body fails in sea breezes! I wear it short and add a straw hat if the wind isn't blowing, otherwise a visor. pirate:

I use Aveda products and they help out quite a bit -- especially with sea air.
