The Saga of our Disney Dream home - It's about time!

Yeah tub fixed and fridge cooling correctly! Love the paint and the pantry :/) the TVs look good! Nice first pic of kitty :-)

Love all the tv's, especially having them mounted on the walls. In our new house, my DH said he didn't want a television in the bedroom. I did, so when I ordered cable, I had the line to the bedroom activated. DH gave in and bought a 20in flat screen. It sits on my dresser, about 30ft from the bed. Even with my glasses on I can barely see the screen! I don't think he likes the size either, as he has commented on getting a larger one.

Question about the fridge in the bathroom- easy access to wine during your bath, or for meds? We have often joked about getting a dorm fridge for the bedroom, but they were always so loud.

Woo hoo now you can really enjoy the tub. Congrats on all the progress.

Great news that the tub is fixed and the fridge is now cooling properly. Looks like a lot more progress has been made.

The pantry looks so impressive!
I am a pretty indecisive person so if I stepped in there trying to find something for dinner, I would probably be in there for a week!

We just returned from a road trip to FL, not Disney :( but a much-needed trip so my mom (age 88) could visit relatives. It was a happy/stressful trip. At times I felt like I “was herding cats”, to use your expression.

Nice pantry. :)
I noticed you have a lot of spices. We do also. Do you have a Penzey’s spice store in your area? They are among the best I have found. Unfortunately we do not have one locally but do order online. They always send a lagniappe in with your order. A couple of our favorite lagniappes were a jar of Old World Seasoning which we used on grilled/oven roasted veggies and Sandwich Sprinkle which we used in our olive oil bread dip. Yummmm.

Hi Alison, I ended up over here from the link Alicia posted in her TR. Holy #$@! your house is gorgeous! Congratulations :goodvibes
And a Haunted Mansion movie room is the best idea I've ever heard. I can't wait to see how that turns out.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love your pantry! It is amazing! What I wouldn't give to be able to have a walk in pantry. Let alone your refrigerator! My oldest daughter Kacy loves that.:goodvibes

Yeah for the tub being fixed Great pantry I knew it was but seeing it stocked makes a better picture I love your bathroom and FairyFloss is right That yellow hutch IS like in B & B Have a great time tomorrow w/Leshaface wish I could be there with you all

Would you mind telling me what the color/shade of paint is in the bathroom ? I find it very soothing & we need to start painting again

Thanks for all the compliments. Honestly I don't know what any of the shades of paint are. They were pre existing and the guys just match them very well when they get new paint.

Things are really coming together! I bet the you guys and the kitties are loving it!

Jill in CO

We are! :goodvibes

YAY for the tub being fixed. Is that Basil/Bagel in front of the tub? Did I remember correctly?

The pantry is looking great. Is the walk-in fridge all fully operational now and holding the appropriate temp?

And :lmao:. Well done for managing to unsubscribing yourself to your own thread. And I will never admit to forgetting to subscribe in to threads I start.....:rolleyes1

::yes:: Yup! That's Bagel!

Yes the fridge is all good.

I have my settings set that if I reply, I subscribe to the thread, so I'm careful where I reply and where I lurk.

A lot has been done to your house since I have checked the last time. It looks very nice and glad to hear that it is coming along really well.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Maybe I'll post more kitty pics. They like having their pictures taken!

It's nice having the TVs on the wall and off the tables. The fridge in the bathroom is there because it is a very long walk to the kitchen and refrigerator. That way Fran doesn't need to mount an expedition just to get a soda in the middle of the night.

Have you thought of getting a litter box enclosure to cover some of the litter boxes?
http://pets.squidoo.com/cat-litter-box-furniture

We've thought about it and even tried them in the past, but they don't like the covers, it's too easy to get cornered by other kitties in the litter box when there is only one door out!

Hooray for all the progress!!!! :cool1:

I really like the pantry :)

Thanks! :)

Woo hoo now you can really enjoy the tub. Congrats on all the progress.

Except for the drought.... :rolleyes1

Love a full pantry! :cool1: It's coming along nicely! :thumbsup2

::yes:: I'm glad to have the kitchen all settled.

We are almost there, pretty much in the home stretch.

The pantry looks so impressive!
I am a pretty indecisive person so if I stepped in there trying to find something for dinner, I would probably be in there for a week!

The thing is that there is really nothing for dinner in there. Maybe some pasta sides, but it's mostly spices, oils, baking goods and condiments. The real dinner stuff is in the freezer!

I got to see the house! :cool1: And all your cool kitties :goodvibes

Yay! It was fun having you over, even if it was just short!

I'm glad you had a good trip. I've never heard of Penzey's. Pretty much I just get most of my spices at the grocery store. I really need to get back to cooking again, but first we have to finish moving!

Loving the latest pictures. Everything is coming along nicely.

Hey Kimberly! Great to see you back again!

:welcome: I'm glad to have you over here. The fun part is just about to begin where we start putting all of our Disney touches in the house!

Thanks! I'm so glad to have such a nice space for all my stuff. I still need to put up some hooks or something to hold my reusable grocery bags. But we're getting there!

I am using an old quilted spoon holder to hold mine. It survived the fire and I decided it deserved a job.:goodvibes

We have quite a large collection of bags, so I think I need a bigger solution than that! But I like your choice.

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long from this thread, we've been on the road for the last six weeks or so and haven't been home for a lot of updates. However, a lot has happened and I have some great pictures of the house coming up for you!
