Friday 28th July
Finished Packing and said goodbye to our apartment. We have loved our time here and are really glad we bought into timeshare.
We did have a few problems due to lack of knowledge and if anyone is thinking of buying dont do it while you are there. I can almost guarantee you will get the same thing cheaper by buying a resale property. We saved a lot of money this way. Come away and check it out fully before committing. There are a lot of web sites you can visit to get advice. This is one of them.
It was a shame that TCD had changed the day of our flight as we would have loved to have stayed here for the whole holiday.
We did a bit of shopping at Jo-Anns and Wal-Mart again. Theresa found a lot of US back-to-school stuff which included their version of Pritt sticks which are acid free ( good for scrap booking) for 20c for a pack of two! So she blew a whole dollar on them.
We went to see if we could check in early at The Masters Inn and they said check-in wasnt until 4.00 but the man checked our reservation and said our room was actually ready and checked us in anyway.
We dumped all of our gear in the room. It was on the second floor overlooking the pool which was nice.
It was time to eat so we headed off to the IHOP. We had had such a good meal here before that we all had the same thing to eat again which must be a good recommendation.
Philly cheese steak sandwich for me and fish and chips for Maddie and Theresa, Callum had the chicken strips.
We had to have the Del . ous banana cheese cake for pud.
After lunch we went back to the hotel and I took lots of pictures while the others went for a swim.
I took so many pictures that the hotel people got worried and came and asked me if I was a guest and if there was a problem. I think they thought I was from the health department or something.
Here are a couple of the piccies.
We had a look around the Big Orange
and then drove across the road to The Cracker Barrel as it is almost impossible to walk across.
This is a lovely store that still feels a bit like old small town America .
Back to the hotel and our last evening meal HAS to be at the Longhorn, which is right next door to our Hotel ( just another reason we choose to stay here.)
Callum got to have his Longhorn steak at last ( 21 oz) which he even managed to finish.
After tea the rest of the family watched TV and I tried to get some night shots of the 192.
