@Professor_Cookie Hope you feel better soon!
Not sure how you feel about medicating your dog…Interrupting the running thread with a dog situation. Whisky has separation anxiety. DH and I left together this morning so that i would feel better about leaving her and she was having none of it. She snuck out 3 times while DH tried to get out of the condo. We then hung out in the hallway while she cried and scratched at the door. I thought like a baby she would settle down but no she did not. I ended up staying at home. I did leave again to take a call in the hallway. She cried at the door but did not scratch and then finally settled down. i think she went into the closet, but dang she won't let us leave. Tomorrow she is going to daycare but i guess we need to go to the vet. She also had issues when we went on vacation. Took her to the same place she has been for boarding and daycare, and she was not having anything to do with the kennel at night. Fine during the day at daycare but no locking up. @The Expert any advice?

This is the same advice they gave me when my son started daycare.1. Don't make a big deal when you come and go. This can be hard, especially the coming home part. When you're ready to go, just pick up your things and leave. Don't say anything to Whisky or make it a big deal, just go and walk away. When you come home, come in, set your things down, wait a beat for her to calm down, then you can love on her all you want.
Having done PT for pf a few years ago, slow calf raises on a step were key, as was getting correct insoles (OTC in my case) in my shoes. In the vein of "when one door closes...", this is "when one ailment is mitigated, another pops up".
In my case, it is plantar fasciitis, which is a heinous condition.
Amongst the different remedies I've found online (like ice packs and massage rollers), there is one that has seemed to work rather well: a golf ball.
Get a golf ball and put it on the floor (needs to be carpet) and roll the back half of your foot around on it. Front-back, side-to-side, and get as far back on the heel as you can without your foot rolling off the ball, which can be a bit tricky. Even better, keep the golf ball in the freezer so you get a little bit of cold therapy as well.
I do this after a run, and sometimes just when sitting on the couch watching TV with the DW.
It isn't a 100% cure, and YMMV, but it has been beneficial for easing the pain and allowing me to continue my runs.

Accomplished my first 10k since January 2020 on Sunday in Columbus, Ohio. Fairly happy with how it all went. I would recommend to a friend. Now chilling further south before heading back toand get ready for SS challenge. I need to figure out some different training workouts on my treadmill.
I did the calf stretching. Didn't like rolling my foot on things. I think the thing that helped me the most were the boots you sleep in that keep your foot flexed. They sound really annoying, but with a pillow between my knees, I got used to them pretty quickly. I think I used them for a month or so.In the vein of "when one door closes...", this is "when one ailment is mitigated, another pops up".
