Yesterday when I was waiting for dinner I saw part of The Rocketeer and I would like to know if you remember this movie? It was Disney's top movie of 1991 and was based on a comic book by Dave Stevens. From what I saw of The Rocketeer it looked very nice and Jennifer Connelly was superb as The Rocketeer's love interest. I also think The Rocketeer reminds me of Star Lord because of his suit. It's really a shame that The Rocketeer hasn't been talked about much in Disney's live action movies because when it first came out Disney really had high hopes for it

I remember seeing it as a kid when it came out. There is a show on Disney Junior about a little girl Rocketeer, but I haven't watched any of that.

The Rocekteer is a cult favorite and a great movie. I'd recommend watching it. There are from time to time rumors of a revival, with the latest being a show for Disney+ called "Return of hte Rocketeer," which would continue the story and pass the jetpack down to the next generation. I am not sure where it stands production wise at this time, but it's always something that is simmering.

I have a coaster from Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar at WDW that has the logo for THe South Seas Club on it, which is the nightclub from the movie. This squarely associates The Rocketeer with The Society of Explorers and Adventurers and even Indiana Jones. One day, we'll get that 1930's adventure universe that we all deserve!

I don't remember much buzz around the film when I was younger during its release, so I never bothered to check it out. Then finally one day I decided to watch it and truthfully it wasn't bad at all. Just not sure how Disney could really capitalize on the film, then or now, especially at the parks. And @BrianL, I have that coaster too. I have most at this point, although I believe a few new ones have recently been released. Need to pick those up, too.

I got the Club Noir one on my last trip. I had to look up it's significance and apparently it appeared in one episode of THe Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. I love how they dig pretty deep!

If The Rocketeer does get a new movie or series, I think we may see more buzz for it. It is a well liked property. I got a very nice 6 inch action figure of him last year.

"The Rocketeer" is one of my all-time favorite movies. As mentioned above, the movie is based on a comic book by the late Dave Stevens. He became good friends with the late Bettie Page. This is why the Jenny character resembles Bettie Page (mainly the haircut with the bangs).

The Neville Sinclair character is loosely based upon the actor Errol Flynn. There have long been unsubstantiated rumors about his connection to the Nazis.

It was a good movie. It reminds me of Iron Man. It is a shame it didn’t do well . This was before the live action super heroes craze.

I saw bits of it as a kid but watched it for the first time this year. Really enjoyed it, thought it was a fun homage to old school pulp.
