And now for something a bit different LOL....let me start by saying my DF wears little to NO jewelery, has very slender fingers and likes very simple rings LOL....but of course she has one thing she really likes in jewelery...heart shapes...if you've never looked heart shaped diamonds are difficult to find and of course pricey LOL...so after a bit of looking here it is ! Oh and no its not yellow in reality and its on all white gold LOL, not easy to get pictures of something so small LOL, the camera kept focusing on the box LOL

I have a heart ring too! It is absolutely stunning. FH knew I disliked thinsg of the norm and don't wear jewelry as well and got me the same but with a more antique setting. She is going to get so many compliments, not alot of people have hearts!

I bet getting the facets right is hard with a heart shape... Because of the shape, they're probably prone to not sparkling as much (not reflecting the light back) unless cut very carefully. That would account for them being both hard to find and a little more pricey.

They're really pretty though! I guess you ladies with a heart shaped stone can feel special that your ring took some effort to get a hold of!

Yes, this is all true, I remember hearing this when we went the jewelers. The downside of a heart-cut ring :-/ Actually the most difficult part is find a shape with a ratio (height:length) that you like.

i dont think ive seen a heart shaped diamond before- but i guess i havent been looking - they are all really beautiful!
