That take school pride to a new level....:rolleyes1

Gotta love a Duck Fan!

So a little off topic, but today I was at the courthouse (yes, I'm STILL on jury duty) and I seriously saw someone in high heels, ribbed V neck sweater (only waist long), pearls, AND LEGGINGS!!!!!!! I seriously think she thought she looked good! I sooooooo needed a camera.

They weren't just tight pants, they were LEGGINGS!!!!!!! What is this world coming to?!?!?!? :confused3

Yikes! Maybe she heard 80s style was back in and doesn't understand its only a NOD to the 80s - not "Hot Tub Time Machine!":rotfl2:

Okay, I thought Tammie was referring to the earlier post with the other mickey photo. I figured something must be up because I just saw a mickey photo of Dylan in my Photobucket account...then I knew my post was out of date.:rotfl:

But again, it's tough when I'm relegated to the kids' PCs......:surfweb:

Poor Derek, trying to DIS on this:
kidscomputer.jpg

Great job with the babysitting, Jordan - you stayed awake this time, and no one colored on the floor!:thumbsup2

*Sigh* You're going to think I'm weird for this...but, the pics of the Contempo Cafe made me sad..I miss the Concourse Steakhouse! :sad1:

Yea! I got to read two updates in one day!
Maybe the guy at the Contempo Cafe wanted to see your chories?
Is that the right word? I don't get it. Am I missing something from a previous post. Where did that word come from?
So your real birthday is in February? What is the actual date? Why is the big Peep Fest in June?

Chapter 19. Blast off! Again..and a little down time

So when I last left you dylan had conquered Test Track! and I had an unfortunate run in with leggings.....I'll spare you the picture recap....somewhere in the internet universe there is a collective sigh of relief..can you hear it? Can you?

< insert massive sigh of relief here>

After our Test Track adventure, we had time to spare since Wendy had changed her ADR to an hour later. We decided to ride Mission: Space. Wendy loves this ride. In 08? she spent a few hours on her own and rode M: S 6? 7? times IN A ROW!!!!!! One order of scrambled brains coming right up!:scared1: That's what i call intestinal fortitude!

We rode and Kim survived, although she did NOT feel good. I'm sure she was picturing wendy under a bus somewhere....

< insert ralphing noises here>

After M:S, we walked out making a quick pit stop so Allan and Kim could use the restrooms...they used the restrooms on the right as you're exiting Epcot under SSE. I forgot to get a rating, but they weren't commenting on it. So it must've been okay.

Maybe they were too shocked to say much of anything... :confused3 I've seen them THAT bad before!

this guy had that druggie kind of vibe. He was very creepy. He would repeat the monorail spiel, but not in a funny kinda way. Anyways he got off at the TTC...

<insert sound of heebie jeebies here>

The CMs were all very nice. The CM at the register was flirting with me I think...:confused3 It was a HE. I was flattered, but didn't flirt back.
115.jpg

<insert a few more heebie, jeebies here>

I thought there would be enough for them to share...UM....I took the lid off the plate and discovered 4 nuggets and 15 french fries. Jesus, where are you when I need you to multiply this food? Oh that's right...fish and loaves of bread..not nuggets and fries....my bad. We supplemented the meal with leftovers and maybe a cookie or 3...:rolleyes1
120.jpg

maybe if they'd been fish sticks?? :confused3 I'd have ordered 3 more and put them on the room tab... just me though....;)

Oh.......yeah.....I'm supposed to be watching the kids too. Thankfully, no one was playing with knives.

I'd have loved to have heard your story to Wendy if they had... ;)

The kids and I played this game
...it was cool and a total uncle moment for me. It's one of those moments where I knew what it felt like to be a parent and the love you feel for your kids. then I had to discipline Erin for going into the room when I said many, many times that the bedrooms were off limits. Yeah, no parenting for me....

So precious- glad you get the best of both worlds. Some spoiling of the kids and a chance to send them home again.

Okay, if you know me, you know I'm a clean freak. When it got close to the time for the adults to return, I started cleaning up.....call me OCD and I'd say "here"

How do you live with your roomies?? :confused3

Nice update! I love your "uncle moment". I've often said being an aunt is about the coolest thing there is: you can play and have fun and spoil them and rarely have to do the discipline thing. :goodvibes

That's exactly why I have yet to ride Mission:Space! I'm so scared of feeling sick for the rest of my day.

What a good guy to be babysitting during the Super Bowl. :thumbsup2

I can hear that collective sigh of relief because I am making it, too! :rotfl:

Cool Uncle Moment!!! Kids can be so fun to be around! :goodvibes

Me in 08 in front of said restroom.

While Rockin the Hockey Night in Canada tee. :thumbsup2

I don't know if you've ever seen a tweaker before, but this guy had that druggie kind of vibe.

I admit I lead a sheltered life and had to google it. Makes me very thankful for said "sheltered life." :scared1:

The kids and I played this game where we all reacted to the "remote control", Dylan. If he said fast forward, we all started moving really fast. If he said slow motion we would all go realllly slow. He would say pause and we'd freeze. We did this for awhile and laughed alot. Erin and he would go back and forth...it was cool and a total uncle moment for me. It's one of those moments where I knew what it felt like to be a parent and the love you feel for your kids.

Did you hear that? I think there was a collective "Awwww how sweet" from all the DIS Moms.

Okay, if you know me, you know I'm a clean freak. When it got close to the time for the adults to return, I started cleaning up.....call me OCD and I'd say "here"

Are you a clean freak at home too?

I totally get why you try to make your room look as much like it did the day of your arrival. When you arrive and see that perfect tidy room you know your whole vacation is ahead of you. As long as you can keep it looking that way it helps to stop thinking about the inevitable departure day. Let face it while you are packing up your stuff the room gets pretty messy.

Last year the kids and I rode it twice in a row. After the first time we felt totally fine and we decided to ride again. That second time did us all in. We were all a little woozy.

After M:S, we walked out making a quick pit stop so Allan and Kim could use the restrooms...they used the restrooms on the right as you're exiting Epcot under SSE. I forgot to get a rating, but they weren't commenting on it. So it must've been okay. Remember, this is the restroom that got a 4 the last time. Me in 08 in front of said restroom.

I know exactly where this restroom is, but I'm still confused about where your favorite bathroom is. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of an Epcot map with an "X marks the spot"?

When we got on the monorail, there was some minor technical problem so it took a few extra minutes to get going. As we were sitting there, we noticed this guy standing at the door. He kept leaning out of the monorail looking to see what was going on. I don't know if you've ever seen a tweaker before, but this guy had that druggie kind of vibe. He was very creepy. He would repeat the monorail spiel, but not in a funny kinda way. Anyways he got off at the TTC...

Um.....could this be Michael Phelps???!!!!

Was this your first getting hit on moment of the trip? Memorable, obviously. ;)

DH and I loved being the cool aunt and uncle before we had kids. We also got to practice on them while we waited for our own kids to come along. We sometimes wondered why our siblings thought it was so hard to be a parent. :rotfl2:

Gotta love a Duck Fan!

I guess they always stand out in a crowd...:)

I don't think you're weird at all...we all have things we miss at WDW. I miss the Wonders of Life Pavilion...

Yay for 2 updates...I may even do another one this week!

Chonies...you were close...:) Chonies is the mexican word for underwear.

My birthday is in February. However, Wendy and Derek don't want to pull Erin from school. She'll be in 4th grade and feel she would miss too much. I also have friends who want to go but have kids in high school...so June it is.

< insert massive sigh of relief here>

along with the rest of the world

I used to be the strictest of all the people that watched the kids, but it was always done with love. I love the kids!!!! erin and I have a special bond for sure.

What a good guy to be babysitting during the Super Bowl. :thumbsup2

The first time I rode it I think I psyched myself out. I was sick for about 1 1/2 hours after I rode.

I don't mind babysitting at all.

While Rockin the Hockey Night in Canada tee. :thumbsup2

I don't have the Hockey Pkg anymore so I don't get to watch it here in the US...:sad2:

believe me. At Disneyland going on undercover security patrol as part of training, I learned what to look for as far as druggies. One night I got to see someone tripped out on drugs. It took 4-5 cops to keep him down.

thanks....I love those kids

Noope!

That's it exactly!:thumbsup2

Yeah, I can barely get through one time. Usually when the spaceship is "landing" I'm going thank god. If the ride went any longer, I think I'd get really dizzy.

I don't have a map handy, but if you are walking up to go to Journey Into Your Imagination, you would turn right before you go into the entrance and go around a corner.

Michael Phelps just hired a hitman to take you out...He's insulted...;)

I always get to be that cool uncle although when they become teens, I'm sure I'll just be another adult...:sad1:
